The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Black-Heart Blight.. Wow
So I was on my way to Sud (A cave in the north of the top island) to kill a witch that had a Wizards staff. This is part of the mage's guild questline if anyone has forgotten.

So there I am, wondering towards Sud, minding my own business, when BAM - I'm hit with this evil curse. It made my strength attribute reduce to 0 which means I can't carry anything (zero weight).

So I do what any brave adventurer would do... Get naked in the wilderness! Only to find that my weight only reduces to 1, it does not reduce to zero what so ever... :(

So I use a divine teleport, followed by my feather spell to run around Gnisis trying to find a merchant that would sell a disease pot or something similar.

But then my mana runs out and I'm done, fixed in position and doomed forever...

Morale of the story: Morrowind is evil.

The real morale is always carry 5 or so potions of cure. Or atleast some mana potions.

Touche. Having come from Obl/Skyrim, I didn't realise this game would be so unforgiving. I didn't even know there was such a blight as this. It's a good job I have a save from a short while beforehand. Will deffo be buying some cure blight potions :D
It also helps to do the mainquest first, it gives you imunity to all diseases. Or play an argonian.

Blight diseases are worse than common diseases. Go to an alter to get them removed Divine or Almsivi, there is a small fee. If you want to move while at 0 available weight drop absolutely everything you can have nothing in your inventory to be able to move (no one is going to take anything just don't leave it behind out in the wilderness).

I tried dropping everything in my inventory buy my weight was fixed on "1/0". There was literally nothing else to drop. Not sure why this happened.

That's why people love this game - unlike Skyrim, Vvardenfell is a really tough place. Been playing Morrowind since 2003 and ever since I have a feeling, that there are dangers everywhere, can't really feel safe even in Balmora, with those Cliff Racers watching from across the river as I go shopping.

Savegames are your deliverance

I rely on the quick save button , too much. I keep a couple savepoints , before I go off on a tangent . This allows me to undo my poor decision making. Such as Running into Hircine's maze fully confident. Had to rethink that boneheaded move.
