The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

How to instal the Overhaul 3.0 mod?
Hey guys.

Just bought this because I've heard a lot of positive things about it and I loved Oblivion and Skyrim, but I wanna improve my experience by installing the Overhaul 3.0 mod. Problem is, I'm not too computer-literat, and I've never used a mod before, so I don't have a clue how to do this (even where to get it from lol)

So if any of you guys could help me out with where to get the mod and how to instal it, it would be very very very much appreciated :)

Cheers!

Here's something i've never found an answer to, does Overhaul improve character models and textures, and clothing/item textures as well as all of the enviromental stuff in all the trailers?

It improves pretty much everything about the visuals, assuming you have the power to run it. As for the install, it's completely automatic and you only need to click a few things.

Thanks for the link mate.

What would the best download link to use? As it lists a couple like "torrent magnet link" and "direct from our server?"

Torrent Magnet allow you to download the mod via a Torrent (P2P) software like µTorrent.
You can pause, stop and continue download at any time without having to download from scrath each time you turn off the software or your computer. Download speed depends on the amount of people (a.k.a "seed") who share the file via P2P.
"Direct from our server" mean it will download the file directly from the site, using your internet browser. You better have a fast connection if you want to download the mod (1.7GB) in one go.

Here is a link if you are interested in what are Magnet links : http://lifehacker.com/5875899/what-are-magnet-links-and-how-do-i-use-them-to-download-torrents (Don't mind the name of the URL. It's a safe blog-like site.)

Cheers guys, I'll install the game over night and try installing the mod straight after, and post how it goes :)

Ok I've already done it, now downloading mod which will take about 45 minutes...when it's downloaded is there a specific place I need to put it or will it do everything automatically? (Sorry for being stupid lol)

Update: I've downloaded it straight from that website, so now do I just run the game and it will automatically be working or do I have to do something else?

Thanks again :)
Install the MGSO download.

It's a very user friendly interface; just run the executable and pay attention to whatever it tells you.

Just installed the overhaul mod and it was pretty painless. It makes a huge difference, can tell just from looking around for only a couple of minutes. Well worth the time.

Ok, so I get to the bit where it says "is it in a morrowind folder" and everything was incorrect. I've downloaded from steam, so how can I be missing files and the DLC stuff? :(

Nevermind figured it out, will let you guys know if I mess up and get confused again :P

This is stupid, I've installed everything correctly...and now when I try and launch a new game it just F*****G crashes!!! WHY!!!!!

EDIT: used this link http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-windows_programs/problem-event-name-bex-error-message/cf5baf73-0877-4070-abfb-a2c3a17a9e10

I did something with DEP and it seems to be working now...hopefully I won't have any more problems :)
