You'll still need the mouse to navigate menus ( Stats, Inventory, maps, etc) though. On the load screen just select "options--> Controls, then select "eneable joystick". From there you can assign the buttons/triggers.
You can also use a Xinput Gamepad ( modern ones, including the 360 controller) with software such as Xpadder and not need the mouse at all.
Hmm, I use a logitech one and it seems to work fine for me, other than having to use the mouse to navigate menus, but I'm fine with that as I use a wireless rollerball mouse.
you may be using more functions than I do, I generally have a pretty basic set up.
I see your point and would certainly rather then gamepad did everything, but I hate trying to move a mouse pointer with a joystick, so I don't mind it too much.
I only use the mouse for menus, so it's not like I'm fighting or moving and the mouse is wireless and a rollerball so I'm just moving my thumb. :)
Full controller support like Skyrim would be awesome. Then again, Even though Morrowind is my favorite game of all time, it'd be A LOT better if many aspects of it were more like Skyrim. :)
You N'wah !
Just kidding, You have ended the thread well....for an outlander.
Thank you for teh help!
