The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Morrowind Code Patch not opening
I have been playing Morrowind vanilla for almost 20 hours now.. love the game, but i was interested in some of the fixes in Morrowind code patch.

Downloaded it and extracted it to steamapps/common/morrowind, as i was told.
Has anyone come accross the problem when they run the MCP (as admin) and then a small window opens for a second and then disappears? or can do anyone have an idea why this would happen?

windows 7 service pack 1

thanks

The MCP I have is in the form of a zip file. Not sure what you mean by "run the MCP". There are the extracted files and then the .esm file you are supposed to check-off in the data files section of the launcher. Everything gets loaded during the startup.

That's "MPP". Morrowind Patch Project.

Morrowind Code Patch is indeed an executable. Did you install the game under program files by any chance? I can't think of another reason. Those folders are protected. It's harder to execute hacks like the code patch.

Sorry for the confusion. I was indeed talking about the MPP.

thanks for comments guys!
Egomaster, dont all steam games get installed under program files?

If you install Steam under program files and don't change your library location, then yes. I never install ANY program under program files if I get the option to choose installation folder. I create a different folder simply called "programs", or "games". Also, you can change where games will be installed in your Steam settings, Downloads tab.
