The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Easy mode the game.
So, this is a suggestion column to make morrowind gameplay easier for people. I will suggest tricks that will let you play the game more effectively. maybe some of these ideas you've heard of. maybe some you have not. I also hope you'll suggest some of your own as well.

my first suggestion is my ever sharp blade build. This is a most basic concept for enchanting. Get a dagger, enchant it with bound dagger on strike. I dont care if its a rusty dagger or a daedric dagger this enchantment will save you hours of using tongs and forging equipment. So you enchant the blade with a long duration bound dagger on strike. as you go through the game youll add more enchantments to the daggers you find doing the same. So the new enchantments are as follows. Damage stamina, drain stamina and absorb stamina on strike. You want these durations to be the same as the bound dagger enchantment.

So the reason youll want to use this build is multifaceted. First there is a dice roll mechanic in the game. Which says whether or not you hit or miss. its hard coded into the game mechanics. So just roll with me on it. The dagger is the fastest weapon in the game. so you get more strikes per second than any other weapon in the game. Second the dagger has the highest minimum damage output out of all the weapons in the game as well. So with that stated, you get more hits in and at a higher damage minimum. The bound dagger is a daedric dagger. which has the same damage as a daedric dagger an end game weapon. But its a temporary weapon. Thus your dagger gets replaced by it. thus you get an end game temp weapon while not destroying the durability of the dagger you are currently using. hence the ever sharp build concept. Mid game youll have better stats and can enchant with better soul stones and enchantments. Thus youll simply upgrade as you go. sell the old and move on since they are disposable. Thus, you enchant with drain absorb and damage stamina to force enemies to go prone. what this does is forces them to stay down. while you constantly hack away their health by spam clicking attack. they can not hit you and you just beat them to death rinse and repeat.

My second suggestion, is my Socrates build.

So back history on Socrates, he was being disruptive in Athens Greece by doing something terrible suggesting that the youth think for themselves. In that democracy all the citizens were called to vote on forcing him to drink poison over having done so.

So with this build, youll want to master bartering speechcraft and alchemy sneaking pick pocketing and illusion.

You make poisons, you sneak up on people reverse pickpocket them and toss in high end poisons. Then you haggle with them, argue with them untill they get pissed off at you. Due to game mechanics. These people when they go to attack you will drink all potions in their inventory first. Thus they drink poison and die. This also means that you do not get a bounty for this action either. This can be done to virtually any npc with some acceptations in the game. These acceptations are those that break the tide of fate. and those that soft lock the game. Yeah there is a crash to desk top issue with one npc in the game.

Almexias guard the one that you must do single combat with to prove yourself with alexia is the guard that will crash the game if you use the reverse pickpocket poison trick on him prior to accepting the open challenge fight. Thus you can in theory reverse pickpocket him ahead of time and give him the poison. But you can not piss him off where he will fight you. This breaks the game and it will crash every time. Instead youll end up fighting him regardless so, no point in concerning yourself with the haggling to piss him off aspect. ALL her other guards are fair game though. I also suggest doing them in earlier so when you battle it out with almexia youll have an easy fight.

The third Suggestion, is building the jedi build. telekinesis, lock door and unlock spells charm person and mark and recall are your friend.

Now hear me out, with a permanent enchantment of telekinesis you will be able to grab things from an entire room away. Yeah, so you can grab objects while crouching in one room that you need without alerting guards or the occupants of the building. Just enchant one item to do just that. Use it when you need it.

So you cast mark in a room by what ever you wish to rob. You then cast a maxed out enchantment of charm person on an npc and you have them follow you into a closet or another room. Then you cast lock on the door. Then you cast recall. then you take what you need.

my 4th suggestion. is a utilitarian suggestion. Morrowind sucks walking from a to b. But it can be made easier. So getting these basic spells are honestly must haves if you want to move quickly. Mark, recall, almsivi intervention and divine intervention if i remember correctly. The intervention spells teleport you to the the shrine you are near. mark and recall take you to your personal teleportation point. However, quick portals kills the game immersion ultimately. so there are still other options available which is great. Silt striders, cash portaling from city to city. Then there is the mage guild cash based teleportation. Which in turn pretty much sums up the 9 million ways to travel fast in morrowind using basic spells. However maybe you are a purest. and you dont want to spoil your trip from a to b by teleportation across the map. Then i suggest the jump spell and slow fall spell permanently on a top grade ring. This will let you leap over buildings. Let you climb mountains. Get to locations marked on your map that you'd normally have to carve your way through canyons of cliff racer infested hills to reach.

My fifth suggestion. I suggest you play as a bretton with the atronach star mark. As far as i am concerned. The most dangerous thing in morrowind is spells being blasted from a distance at you. Well you can virtually remove that issue with this set up. So brettons get 50% resistance to magic based spells of all kinds. while the atronach grants you the ability to absorb 50% of all spells cast at you. Thus making this a strong build combo. Furthermore you get 1.5 times as much base line magic as other builds. Your only down side is youll be a mana potion drinking mad man. But hey at least you know youll likely survive getting blasted by a npc spell you were not aware of coming at you.

My next suggestion, if you like to enchant. I suggest you make a weapon that soul binds and an item that can cast a golden saint for a duration of time. This will give you the chance to spam fill your soul gems.

The next suggestion. This one is about using the creeper npc in the mining city> forget its name. But he has 5k gold on him. He also buys items at cost of their true value from you. Thus this is the proper way to get lots of cash fast early in the game. Once you spam through enough money. I suggest you head to the dlc location to the city where almexia is chilling. From there get all the spells in the game that damage skill stats. Then go make a maxed out spell on self to damage your skill. as long as your skill is down to zero. You get uber cheep training of your skills from secret trainers. Thus early on you can max out your skills. This in turn can honestly boost your skills past 100. However I suggest that you keep your skills maxed to 100. or you may end up screwing yourself later. Imagine a 1000 jump stat? then you jump and you die. just like the mage just outside the town you started at from the beginning of the game.

my last two suggestion's is to make a ring that can cure disease on self permanently. when ever you get blighted, rock joint or the like just put it on and take it off. There is nothing more annoying than seeing your stats go to crap because some stupid monster had a random chance to make you sick. Keep in mind, you can not get diseased once you become the incarnate. but until then you are stuck to chugging potions or casting spells. But a simple ring can do it all.

I suggest a ring that restores health and another ring the restores stamina on self permanent. I suggest you make multiples of these. You may think hey why make more than one? First you lose some enchanting potential with each spell enchanted on an item. thus its best to keep such enchantments as maxed out as possible by keeping them as a single enchant with maxed potential. the second reason to make multiples of these rings is to reverse pickpocket people you need to escort from a to b. One they obtain the ability to have stamina regen. thus wont slow down any longer. Two they gain health regeneration so if they get caught up in battle they don't die.

I know a tip for Morrowind is that in the first room you go in after getting on the boat there is a plate on the shelves called Limeware Platter and you can pick it up and sell it for some gold at the start of the game it is worth I think about 500 or 600 gold I think and another tip I know is near Seyda Neen the starting village there is a powerful ring nearby in a dungeon it is in a locked container but the key is nearby the ring is called mentors ring.:starshine:
