How to level up Armorer up to 100?
Hey, leveled up all of skills except Armorer, which is 71 now. Due to bug I don't have a master trainer present in game (well, guy is present, just doesn't provide training service). And I also don't want to install patches or mods, neither going to use console - wanna beat this on this vanilla :)

Anyway. Here is, what I tried:
1. Stay there, beated by bunch of cliff racers - armor stay full even in many minutes
2. Stay there, beated by golden saint. Health somehow drops, however armor is not
3. Get more or less of armor worn (this is true for all experiments)
4. Different types of armor. Best one is leather netch - "easier" to destroy. However "easier" still means "near not possible"
5. Disintegrate armor and weapon with high values, like 100 - it works, but only destroy 2-5 health of one item. After that PC should sleep. Couple sleeps = 1% of skill. So to get 100 skill, we need 30 * 100 * 2 = 6000 sleeps
6. Disintegrate armor and weapon with medium or even low values with long time periods. It does nothing, armor is full
7. Cast "Drain light armor skill" and "Drain armorer skill" just before casting disintegrate - assuming they may affect result. They don't
8. Crying
9. Enchant item with disintagrate armor or weapon (tried both). It works, thanks guys, bye ^_^ Just kidding. Well, it actually works - when I "wait" for hour-another, armor degrade, so I may train armorer - and then wait again and train again - or just continue travelliing and repair armor from time to time. However, for some reason my amulet of antigreas wears after 24 hours of waiting or so. Amulet is with constant effect, enchanted by myself, it doesn't need to be recharged (I tried and there are no such option). Amulet just stops working after some time

(Disclaimer: it comes out it is hard to search for "armorer" here, steam gaves mostly "armor" results, so I've created this new topic, sorry guys, appreciate)

I'm not sure if it a bug or deliberate, but in my experience, animals cannot damage armor (I think its a bug). I frequently train all four armor skills by collecting a bunch of slaughterfish, and I've never had their attacks damage a piece of armor I was wearing; successfully blocking attacks, however, will damage the shield you are using.

I normally train armorer not by fixing my own armor, but by hacking up opponents with armor, and then fixing it (and their weapons) after they are dead. You do need to do most of the damage with physical weapons, rather than magic (don't use cast-on-strike enchantments on your weapon for this). Early on, there are are several places that have skeletons that spawn with iron shields and a selection of weapons, while later you can hunt Golden Saints for their shields (the only way to get the Daedric Tower shield), and if you have the Tribunal DLC, hunting the respawning Dark Brotherhood assassins in the Mournhold Sewers works quite well. If you don't mind the bounty, most or all of the guards without personal names (Telvanni Guard, High Ordinator, etc.) also respawn.

You could go to any trainer and use a 100pt/2 seconds Fortify Armorer spell on them.

Can get the Fortify skill spell from Bonrod the Roarer in the Skaal Village on Solstheim or from several priests in Mournhold - 1 in the temple, 2 in the imperial cult.

Sirollus Saccus in Ebonheart is supposed to be the Master Armorer trainer but doesn't actually offer training because of a bug, installing Patch for Purists fixes this. Alternatively installing the Bethesda Official Plugin Lefemm armor also fixes it, I think.

Armorer is just one of those skills that is a pain to exp-grind, for no good reason.

Ok, so:

1. regarding fix armor of others, tried guards. A bit tooooooo slow, since have to taunt guard, then kill, then loot, then fix - and this gives 1-2 points of 1% of skill. Guards do not respawn in some quick way, so probably also need to travel between towns (I tried to just wait 5 days, they don't respawn). Anyway, its too long. Also disintegrate does not work on them, 100lvl spell drops merely several hp, even when they are hostile
2. for being beaten by not-animals, I've tried to be beated by golden saint, but it outputs sooooo small results. And I can't repair during battle, so to get that 1-2 points, I should stop battle somehow (it doesn't work with just levitate), for example run far enough, then repair for 1-2 points, then run back. Too slow, I mean impossibly slow
3. for Fortify Armorer for trainer sounds good, is this actually checked for this steam version game? Anyway, I didn't start Bloodmoon and I have to done some part of bloodmon's main quest to unlock that spellcrafter - before that they all won't talk to PC, just checked. But looks like decent option anyway

Found solution. Previously mentioned enchanting amulet with disintegrate and that it is bugged. So. I've tried to enchant a shield and is also works, and is also bugged, but with shield I actually figured out WHY it is bugged. Game may crash etc after shields health drop below 0, so PC should't wait too much, but repair shield every time, to not let it drop below zero - thats it. So, you wait, repair, wait, repair, wait, repair. Depending on shield, one wait=5+ points. So one level=20 wait+repair cicles. Its decent, comparing to everything I tried before

Yeah, it works.

By default, every trainer teaches whatever their highest skills are. The main issue is getting the Fortify Skill spell, assuming you have the gold for training. Best option would probably be one of the 2 Imperial priests at the Imperial Cult Services in the Mournhold palace. The skill of the spell you buy doesn't matter.

You make a cheap 100pts/2 second spell of any skill, use that on a trainer and they'll train you in that skill.

If Tribunal is enabled you'll get attacked by Dark Brotherhood assassins when you rest until you go to Ebonheart and speak with Apelles Matius, and he tells you to speak with Asciene Rane. She'll teleport you to the Royal Palace in Mournhold.

Magic resistance will affect efficiency of disintegrate armor/weapon effect, so remove your artifacts with that effect, and use "weakness to magicka + disintegrate armor + disintegrate weapon" spell on yourself. Oh, and wear armor and weapon before doing it. And use repair prongs, because you get fixed amount of armorer xp per repair and prongs repair the least amount.
> fortify skill
yes, will try, sounds good

> Magic resistance
of course I removed everything for experiments. Even farther: casted spells to draw down skills like armor and armorer, just in case

> weakness to magicka
sounds interesting, though from what I've achieved with disintegration, looks like disintegration is super mega very very very slow method. Like just going playing game and repairing armor is actually faster and easier. Have you actually tried level up couple levels of armorer, using disintegration? Developers may changed game a bit for last years, so old methods may not work now. So far everything disintegrate-related doesn't work for me.. except enchanting, which works fine - I've leveled 10+ levels in last hour, which is ok

> wear armor and weapon
:)

> wear armor and weapon
well, as I said, I actually tried different sets of armor (I mean different types: iron, glass etc. Leather disintegrates best). AND I tried to wear different sets, I mean wear full armor vs wear just one item, tried different places (head, legs, torso etc)

> repair prongs
yes, for sure they give most exp per broken item. 1st hammer gives about 5 points of exp per broken shield, while prongs gives about 10 points, which is even better

If you guys tested recently any working method with DISINTEGRATE on this vanilla and sacceeded to level up 10 levels in less then an hour, please let me know. So far enchanting works best, other methods are slow (not trainers, trainers looks best)
