Main Quest Fix

So this is what happened, I started a new character who I was planning to make an assassin/thief and actually do the main quest for the first time. I really wanted a daedric dagger, so I went to Tel Fyr to take Divayth Fyr's dagger. I used the console command sethealth -1 on him just to get his dagger (I couldn't resist), then i used the resurrect command to bring him back. After this I went to Caius Cosades' house to start the main quest. Even though my character didn't kill Divayth Fyr and I brought him back from the dead, I couldn't start the main quest. He said that I killed him and he didn't want anything to do with me. Is there a way to fix this without reloading a save (because that was a while ago and I don't know if I have a save from then) or maybe even a mod?

Don't use console cheats, it wuins the whole exspierience. I'd just start a new game, get beefed out, and kill him after the main quest./

Well, since you already cheated with the console, have you tried cheating again? ;) do a setstage on the main quest.

You might also have to wangle around with it during the later quest with Divath Fyr...hopefully not, though, since he's been resurrected.

if you wanted a deadric dagger so badly it could have been done really easily by traveling to gnisis, and then heading to berandas stronghold right to the south. on the bottom level there is a skeleton pinned to the wall with a dagger and a spear also. just slide the difficulty bar down to the bottom. still kinda cheating but you dont have to technically cheat

keep it on medium, use only mgso for mods
