NPC text glitch?

i was playing through the Imperial Cult quests and got to the one where you kill four smugglers for an amulet. after returning the amulet, i was told "death is upon you. you should find a healer". my health was full, i had no diesases, and none of my attributes had been drained. and it's only argonians who say this to me. it makes me paranoid that my game might be bugging out and i might have a diesase that's draining my speed but it's not showing up. does anyone know why it's just argonians who say this, and why they're saying it at all?

"Death is upon you. you should find a healer" - Is a voice Greeting that only Argonians have, it's triggered when player has less than 10% HP.

Apperently due to developers mistake, it is only true for Male Argonians, wheras females can say it as one of any random greetings, no matter the circumstances.

(Pretty sure it's fixed by Unofficial Morrowind patch, which I recomend to use when playing the game)

thanks. i found another bug in Bloodmoon too. i got the Summon Bonewolf power and instead of being under powers, it's under spells. and the description is just showing the ID for the spell's effect and not the normal description. it may be a spell and not a power. i wouldn't know because i never use Conjuration. but the description being glitched is annoying.

Just one question: Are you using any version of the Unofficial Patch or MPP?

no. to be honest, i just got the game a month ago and kind of neglected it once HL2 and its episodes went on sale. i'm not familiar with any sites to download the patches from, or even mods. it's running on whatever it had when Bethesda released it in 2001.

Alright. That explains it. If you have some time, I highly recommend you download and install the following patches:

The first is the anti-crash and anti-save corruption patch. The second is the community made bugfix patch. Be sure to follow the installation instructions. Backup your saves for extra safety.

thanks for that. i've only very rarely had my game crash, but i have seen threads started about it. is there anything outside of what's posted in the instructions that i'll have to do? i just always seem to mess these kinds of things up and end up corrupting every file involved in the process. i'm one of those people.

You should be good to go with the existing instructions, just don't forget to only use one ESM file for the Bugfix patch. You want the one marked as "BTB edit". The other ESM is completely unnecessary.

okay, i haven't installed the patch yet, but i have one more bug to report. the Ring of Hircine is bugged out. i use it to get to places you can't fast travel to because of the speed buff. but i waited the 6 hours and didn't revert. so i waited another hour. didn't revert. waited 24 hours. didn't revert. i was stuck and the game wouldn't let me change back. i also reloaded my save and the issue persisted.

if your ever stuck in game use coc balmora (or any city), in the console and it will send you there or if your stuck in a object but its pretty clear on either side use Fixme and move 125pix

not stuck in the sense of being unable to move. do you know how the Ring works? it's supposed to wear off after 6 hours, but for some reason it isn't for me. it stays on forever and makes every NPC hostile.
