The 8 official plug-ins
Just wondering does the steam version hae the 8 official plug-ins too, like it has with Oblivion. If not how do I install them, I have the downloaded plug-ins from Brethesda if needs be.

Also please be as slow and simple as you can, I'm not very tech savvy.

First, I would recommend you download a cleaned/fixed version of the official plugins, as they were seemingly made very hastily and a lot of unnecessary trash was left in them.

Here's one: http://mw.modhistory.com/download-24-6169
(Grab the 1.7 version, as it seems to be more recent)

Second, unzip the content of the download into Morrowind's "Data Files" folder. The default location is C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Morrowind\Data Files
You might be asked to merge things, say yes to all.

Finally, start Morrowind's launcher. Select the Data Files menu (right under Play), tick all the plugins you want to add and click OK.

All done. Start the game and enjoy your new content.

Thank you Logorouge - I'd forgotten all about these - an excellent set of instructions!

I'd just like to add that Patch for Purists[www.nexusmods.com] includes Official Add-Ons Patched[www.nexusmods.com] as an optional file:
Patched versions of all eight official add-ons released by Bethesda. Merged in one single .esp file.

i always thought that you only need this if you don't have dlc's.
