FilePlanet... Elricm... now this. It's a shame we have lost so many good Morrowind Mods sites. Fortunatly Morrowind Modding History [mw.modhistory.com] ,by the Great House Fliggerty guys, have most of those mods. It's a little messy, but is the biggest mod site.
There are also a lot of modders that prefers to use their own site. I recommend you to check the official forums -> http://forums.bethsoft.com/forum/86-iii-morrowind/
With MMH, Nexus and the official forums you should be able to find almost everything. Unless is an adult mod or have copyright issues. If that's the case http://wolflore.net has a couple of adult mods and using Google Translator you can also check http://tesall.ru/files/category/130-mody-dlya-morrowind/
Nexus mods requires free membership. Paid login only lets you access faster download servers, disables ads etc.
So, anyone happen to know where I might find the "Sixth House" mod? I feel like I've checked everywhere with no luck.
As I said, you can find almost everything at MMH :P

Another famous mod was Great House Dagoth (Is NOT compatible with Sixth House)

Odd, considering that it wouldn't let me create an account without paying at least the smallest fee (the one at the very bottom). But a $1.50 fee isn't much so I'm too worried about anything.

(News: New Mods: Last update 2012)
Mostly everything (newer) is being put up at Nexus now, older and no longer maintained stuff can usually be found at Modding History.
And yes, some mods can be found at the own places of the modmakers. And as stated earlier: the nexus is free to use. No need to pay for an account. Now i have already an account from the period when it still was called tessource, but i don't think they changed it.
