Yagrum Bagarn is the last known living Dwemer. He is sick and bloated from the effects of Corprus disease, and under the care of Divayth Fyr, the ancient Telvanni wizard residing in Tel Fyr. You may meet him in the main quest when you must collect the Dwemer Boots of Flying for Divayth Fyr. Or, you will meet him for answers during the quest Mystery of the Dwarves.
Before the Disappearance of the Dwarves, Bagarn was a Master Crafter in the service of the chief Tonal Architect, Lord Kagrenac. His opinion on the use of the Heart of Lorkhan is unknown.
If you consult him about the Disappearance of the Dwarves, he will present you with a few theories, and will be able to enlighten you further if you bring him the books Divine Metaphysics... and The Egg of Time.

Also of note, obesity in the "real" world was also much lower back when the game was made.

Also back in days simmilar to those in Morrowind fat could be only someone with high prosperity - one that doesn't need to physically work by him/herself and had a lot of money to spend on food. Even kings weren't really fat blobs like they are picturet nowdays. Not until in France kings and arictocrasy lived waaay to good in exchange for health of their lower people.

Still Royalty was FORCED to eat excessively... in such amounts that it was VERY unhealthy and fattening.. (and than they used corsettes to hide the fat again.. right THATS health..)

and there was even an empress of china, from like 1000bc who became very fat, in a time famines were commonplace.

Heck look at that maniack running north korea... the only reason that nation is starving is because HE ATE IT ALL.

-since I place the world of this game around 1200 in our era, and skyrim around 1400, and that of akavir perhaps 1550
(meaning the dawn of gunpowder is close, and most likely akavir already have it (make sence since that continent is "the east" of this games world... and those invented the stuff.)

But given those dates one would expect SOME fatties... as would be historically accurate, at least for some royality, and other high positioned people.

Still as one pointed out already.. the world of morrowind (with house assasinations commonplace, and redorans frowning on fat members (as they don't fight) telvanni prefer strenght (and fat aint strong?) hlaluu will see you as an easy target, the hard working farming dres willl see fat members as lazy and decadent, leaving only indoril as a potential house with fat members (that would be under constant attacks by the other houses) but since that faction also serves the temple, is VERY nationalistic, and strong fighters, I doupt even them accepting fatties in their ranks.
If you are fat in morrowind, you die, or you fight so much to prevent being slain you will slim down.
They couldn't outrun the cliff racers.

Can there be a better answer? :)

Not to denigrate those who spent time explaining lore and history based answers of course.

The answer is no, it couldn't be any more better. None more better. That answer goes to 11.

So in later games, why are they not there, still?

Did they become extinct?
Did they move?
Or are they hidden in are very homes, making our sweetrolls disappear?

Maybe the goblins ate them.
Well in Oblivion, just check out the caves; the undead probably took them all. In Skyrim, you didn't show up until after the dragons, and it's also possible the cliffracers spread after Red Mountain blew up, and had to be driven away first.

But that is a good question.
There is no KFC in TES series. :Pizza: :essenceofdeath: :FastFood:
The End.
