Why is my Cure Blight spell 0% chance of success?

My Cure Blight spell shows on my attributes screen as having 0% chance of success. Why?

I have 40 Restoration and now debuffs on my character as far as I can tell. My other spells have varying % chance of success numbers, as you would expect.

It costs 100 to cast and I have about 200.

It is a stupidly hard one to cast, not sure why. I needed it in my recent playthrough and with about 50 restoration it was still 0%. Didn't even budge when I used some fortify intelligence pots.
When I got restoration to 60 and used them though, they gave me just enough to cast it, with 16% chance of sucess lol

oh and if you need to increase restoration, make a restore health 1pt spell or something and keep casting that. Boring but it should boost you that lil bit...

on another note, one of the spells I had was 'on target' so I made a new one 'on touch' and that was much easier to cast :)

Well, 40 isn't that high, maybe you could try a spell that increases your restoration skill? Pretty sure if you buy a spell that increases a skill you can make a spell that increases any skill. Just set the time to like 10 secs for more chance. Also, always have maximum fatigue.
