Anyway i'm surprised by this post because im watching this guy right now lol
Sorry, that's wrong. Morrowind was the last of the Elder Scrolls titles to be developed as a PC game first. I can tell you weren't actually around back then because Morrowind looked absolutely stunning for 20 years ago, and many of us still think it looks beautiful today. If there's just too many polygons for you, by all means enable the new stuff but you're definitely playing a different game altogether once you mod your game enough times.
I'd take some of these mods but against the whole package vanilla is better
ROFLMAO! I played on VIC-20 before you daddy had even met your momma. And before that Nintendo's arcade Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong game & watch, several of them, and lets not forget Atari 2600.
Whether Morrowind was developed for PC or console is irrelevant, the computing power required was XBOX level.
When I first time heard of Morrowind I was sitting on Game Dev Uni course, where everyone was asked to briefly talk of their favorite game, and one dude talked about Morrowind so enthusiastically I still remember it. But for me it was like "arcade" RPG, real RPGs I considered to be turn based like Baldur's Gate and Fallout. So was not interested, except never could forget how enthusiastic the dude was, which eventually led me to start my sequential elder scrolls play through, of which I am not at Skyrim, and have been there for like 5 years. At that time I have played Morrowind 3 times from beginning to the end, now want to replay Oblivion as full play through, but damn mods give me headaches.
At Morrowind times when I was not playing Nethack, Fallouts, or Baldur's Gates, I was playing Anarchy Online, lesser known diamond at the time being.
No offence, but are your diapers still dry, or need to be changed, boy? :DDD
Not sure who you think you're talking to, but it's a good thing I can't see you, old man. One of the benefits of online communication to be sure. Your disrespect would have landed you in a violent situation without any reservation whatsoever, and I really don't care what you have to say about that.
I have plenty of time on FO1&2 as well as Baldur's Gate. I have more time on BG2 than I do on probably any other game ever made. You're still comparing apples to oranges - one is an open world sandbox, the other two are tactical turn based RPGs that are more linear and narrative focused. The comparison is completely meaningless.
I'm done indulging you however, your initial disrespect is such that I will let you spew your elderly venom and marinate in it. Have a good rest of your day.
EDIT/UPDATE: I'm going to actually leave this up because I can admit when I'm wrong and acknowledge it without trying to hide from it or pretend it didn't happen. I just read over my initial post which was a reply to yours ("I can tell you weren't actually around back then" blah blah), and mine was definitely more hostile sounding than it should have been, and more than a little condescending. I'm going to formally apologize. I deserved the response.
I'm sorry. Also, yes, it does sound like you've been around longer than I have. I still think Morrowind vanilla looks beautiful, but I shouldn't have been so militant about it.
Blame the Internet. No visible cues of the tone and intention of the message, so easily misinterpreted, especially when people tend to think offense is the best defense.
In real life I talk like I did, but people see it right away that it is just cheerful smack talk bragging. Most of the time at least :D
Your apology is appreciated because you had character to do it. Many do not. Only the brave do.
