The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Too powerful werewolves
So I made my way past the first half of the Bloodmoon main quest, and now I'm facing the werewolves. I'm lvl36, got 285 Health, but those damned puppies always kill me with just one hit. I thought the problem was that MCP changed HtH damage from speed-based to strength-based, but even with the normal speed-based HtH those dogs just OHKO me.

Is my game bugged? Every other enemy in the game is way more challengeable, even Dagoth Ur and Almalexia, can you help me getting unstuck?

If you're using MGSO make sure you did not choose to use the "true hand to hand" addon during setup. It improves hand to hand combat, but makes Werewolves killing machines.

As I've stated I've turned off that add-on from MCP, and even toggled off the Better Attributes mod, so now HtH is calculated using Speed again, still they killed me with 303hp with just one hit. Only way to do that quest has been with the God Mode turned on.

They made werewolves really overpowered in Morrowind. Keep in mind that if you choose to be a werewolf yourself, you can one shot Karstaag with a sneak attack. Many people have different tactics for dealing with the werewolves. Illusion magic, illusion enchanted weapons, spells that one shot them with the max radius, or potion chugging.

Yeah, I've heard of the werewolf uberness in this game, but still I think that being OHKOed with more than 300hp is stupid.

The werewolves in the hunt are more powerful than the others. Truthfully, I never start the ending of Bloodmoon until my character is level 50 or more. So by the time I work on it, my health would be around 500-700 maybe. Even then, if it's a fighter character with no sneak I have to chug exclusive restore health potions. However, the werewolves in this game are no where near as bad as the greater werewolf in baldur's gate tales of the sword coast. Many people complain about that greater werewolf because it can only be damaged with fire/cold iron weapons and it regenerates health like crazy.

You think so? I usually get rid of the greater werewolves in BG pretty easily compared to these. Not that I'm saying they're a piece of cake, but I just think they are more balanced, at least they don't OHKO all my party.

I didn't say it was me complaining, but in the baldur's gate 1 forums you had one person make 2 posts just complaining about them. About them one shotting you, I don't really know.

You could try Summon Greater Bonewalker spells/enchantments. Though I don't know when the earliest is you can get such a thing.

Greater Bonewalkers reduce strength stats on eat hit they land. So, if the werewolf has ANY kind of inventory, and the Greater Bonewalker/s/ hit it enough times, it will actually become over-encumbered and be unable to move.
