Dark Elves are highly resistant to fire and have the Ancestor Guardian power that they can use once a day to help avoid physical attacks for 60 seconds, which can help you beat a higher level enemy for their superior gear or help you escape a tough situation.

Nope, the PC is uniformly disliked because they are a foerigner, untill you raise someones disposition towards you.

You do get a disposition bonus when speaking to Dunmers, but it's only a few points and nothing major.

Coming to think of it, Dunmer chars still get a reputation boost with Dunmer NPCs (as do Imperials with Imperial NPCs and so forth), don't they? Seeing how Dunmer are the most numerous race in Morrowind, it could be a slight advantage.

Other than that, Dunmer are balanced quite nicely. You can't do anything wrong with them, really.

They do get a same race disposition bonus but its so minor it dosent impact anything. Anyone you would have to bribe or schmooze into doing something for you will still have to be bribed and or schmoozed.
