The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Given a choice between...
...shock damage and ice damage, which one is better for weapon enchanting? I got a Silver Claymore that I want to enchant, and I want to enchant it it with fire damage and one of the other two. For rp purposes, I'm leaning towards shock damage, but I'm curious to know if ice damage would be better for bypassing enemy resistances.

I was originally leaning towards that, but I would like to know why shock's better.

Quite a few creatures have resistance to frost.
Nice to enchant one with frost as well for Golden Saints and there is another opponent with decent resistance to shock, cannot remember which it is at the moment.

Dwemer constructs?

Damn!!! Now I feel estupido. Maybe playing all 3 Elder Scrolls (flicking between 1 and the others) is taking its toll.

This game:
Resistance to shock

Resist Frost

Play mage mainly, so always make shock/fire and fire/frost spells to cover as many eventualities as possible.

that's b u l l s h i t. The best enchantment is taking a life: you take a daedric hammer and enchant it to take a life of 38 points by 8 foot, and with each blow you will hit all enemies within a radius of several meters! the best in the game is not there-Vivek dies in 10-11 strikes, the guards of Mournhold and the templars in 2-3.

The original question was which was best Shock or Frost, but you also do know that you could enhance the enchant you have by putting it on an Exquisite ring, 38 health damage as a Target spell over 10 metres, for a duration of 5 seconds.
It would cost a lot or you would have to use the intelligence glitch to raise Int to 1100, Enchant 100 and Luck 100.

I wrote, because both of your options-trash, only the Nords have resistance to both elements, most of the powerful monsters do not perceive this damage, and I tested my enchantment on the strongest opponents in Morrowind on the maximum difficulty, listen to good advice.

Exactly, listen to good advice, I just showed you how to make your enchantment even stronger.

I only use rings and things for strength along with the two-handed hammer, I don't do magic, I only enchant the hammer to take life, warriors don't need this dirty magic!

Hahahaha
You and the OP like your weapons.
I like "dirty" magic or at the moment a level 17 Marksman. Poor warriors cannot even get close to hit me. 110 Marksman, 100 Agility and high Luck, I can pot shot anything from 100's of metres away with a Daedric Bow and never miss. (apart from Kagouti, they have some weird mesh which means you miss once in a while.)

go and shoot at Almalexia and her guards, heh-heh-heh, and when you get caught by the guards, it will be even more fun! But a two-handed weapon with a span of several foot will never fail you, and I doubt that Vivek will fall from 11 arrows. Especially the daedric hammer, which knocks almost everyone down and knocks out the brains of the higher templars in 3 strikes.:steamthis:

Sunder is all you need, really. Best weapon hands down.

Yep. My notebook had bad burn out few weeks back. Lost everything and have had to reinstall my games, so instead of just doing 1 at a time, I put all 3 on and started re-modding and testing. Flick from 1 game to the other too make sure they are stable.
