I need Advice (Slight Spoilers)
So, I'm a level 5 Nord, Warder of the Fighters Guild. All I've been doing is the Fighters Guild quests from the second I got to Balmora/Vivec/etc. This is my first real playthrough of the game.

Up until now I've been one shotting everything with the hammers I use. However, ever since I started getting diseases I've been getting slaughtered. I finally got my stats fixed and unfortunately it costed me a victory at the Sargon as those bandits were freeze-locking me till death. Just recently I learned of a spell called Mark and Recall. I have no magic skills and all my skills are melee oriented, and I'm going to have to make yet another trip to reach Sargon again. I'm really losing hope for this playthrough.

Right now I am debating whether I should start anew. I'm kinda interested in Sneaking, Marksman, and mysticism as that worked out so well in Oblivion. Is this a good choice?

The beauty of this game is you really have to think about your play style/ race but my advice would be b/c the game can be so challenging, i'd pick a specific style to do damage, and then pick skills that are buffs to it or just practical. I'd say dark elf cuz they are good at anything, and then custom class and play him however you want. it's one of those games you gotta play it a couple times get a feel for it and then pick some combination you are good at hope it helps...enjoy!

So I should just retry as a new character?

You are only level 5. You could start using magic from now and becoma an excellent spellcaster. Or going the melee route. I once did a pure melee character and it worked out just fine, but it is convenient to have some spells. Like healing or light spells.

When a quest is becoming tough, just go do some other quests. Why not join mages guild? It's a sandbox game after all. :)

Also, at low levels trainers are a good way to get started. Pay a trainer so that you at least can use some spell. Mark and recall can be convenient, but personally I rarely use them. There are so many fast travel systems in the game anyway. (one is in the mages guild btw).

Heck join some other guild and explore the game! :D

a sneaking main character is incrediley fun, all you do is go into random houses and steal stuff. You'll havev enough money to get good at whatever you want :)

Do anything BUT play a sneak character. Sneak is so incredibly bad and broken until you get to high levels it's ludicrous.

No, do something else as I've been in the same situation as you, except with a different build. Try joining house Redoran in Ald'ruhn, they are also a warrior-oriented faction. Do a few quests, level up your stats, buy better gear and try Sargon ahead. It's a very hard quest I'll be honest.

I'll try that, thanks.

I agree with this statement, sneak is almost completely useless. Every stealth skill can be replaced with alteration, illusion. and destruction spells (except Short Blade, which is pretty much a useless skill, unless you care to travel light). The only "stealth" skills I'd even suggest using is Light Armor, if you so chose, because as I said before, Sneak, Security, Acrobatics, Speachcraft, Marksman, and Mercantile can all be replaced by simply using Alteration (which also allows you to levitate, possibly the most useful spell in the mountainous land of Morrowind), Illusion (with chameleon 100% or invisibility (to an extent) no one will ever find you), and Destruction (with which you can make extremely OP spells with, just for the sake of blowing crap up with the flick of your wrist (which as you might suspect, easily beats the damage of bows (and your "ammo" recharges, unlike arrows, which you must buy).
