Losing saves after rebooting
Has anyone had any issue with your saves disappearing after you quit and start the game again? I've verified the integrity of the files and I've even moved the game to a different drive in case the other one was causing the problem but I still have the same issue. Any advice on how to get this to stop?

First make sure any cloud services don't intervene

all my saves going back to 2022 are in folder
...\steam\steamapps\common\Morrowind\Saves
because I own a steam copy of the game.
no mouse icon next to your steam name so you do not have a steam copy.
so the files are somewhere else.

search your hard drives for files ending in .ess
