The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Morrowind Xbox controller friendly.
So since the summer-sale I got into games which were controller friendly. A lot of the games that were released to xbox, booted the xbox version if you started the game via TBP.

What i am talking about is the "press A to..."

I bought Morrowind thinking the same thing would happen (since it once was released to xbox), but it doesn't.

I was really looking forward to run through this game (lol run) from the comfort-ability of my sofa.

Please Bethesda implement this.

Inb4 I know that I can map the controlls myself but i don't want to.
I built a computer that boots up in TBP automatically and I just want to pick up the controller and be ready.
I dont want to have to TAB out.

Morrowind on PC was built for a mouse and keyboard...if you've ever played it before you'd understand that it just wouldn't work. The way the menus are set up would mean you'd have to use a cursor anyway, which sucks with a controller.

There was a XBOX release, maybe someone made a mod that change the interface to be the same as the one on the XBOX.

It's opinion against opinion.
I prefer K/M but sometimes I did play Skyrim with controller.

I'm not saying it's impossible, just uncomfortable to use. It all boils down to preference I guess :)

I use a Logitech F 710 wireless controller ( it allows you to select either the old version of directX that Morrowind uses or the newer Xinput).

Once you enable it ingame, you only have to set it up once and you're good to go.

Howerever, as Chief mentioned, you'd still probably want to use a mouse for the Menus.

I use a wireless trackball so it doesn't bother me at all, but I'd imagine having to use a wired mouse would blow chunks if ya just wanna kick back and play controller style.

There there son, me and Morrowind go way back.

I know how the menues work, last week I used joytokey and mapped the controlles myself, which worked pretty well. However It still gave me the use for mouse with the right analogstick, I dont know if that was how it worked on xbox.

Seeing how it was possible for me to remove mouse and keyboard on my own I dont see the problem asking for the xbox boot.

Never tried the xbox version myself, but are you telling me the xbox version was stripped of content/mechanichs because it did not have mouse/keyboard iinput?

The thought never struck me, I will mosdef keep an eye out for that. Thou just releasing the xbox boot would still be better.

The xbox version was exactly the same as the PC version just the menus were built for a contoller. All the content and mechanics were exactly the same.

Controller worked for me, except turn to right or left still required the mouse. Go figure.
