Fargoth's hiding place bug ?

I just installed Morrowind with the Code patch and The patch project 1.6.6
and the first quest I try fails; Fargoth's hiding place
not good; doesn't bode well

Have tried re-starting and no luck
Fargoth does not go to his hiding place

Has anyone encountered this bug?

Any advice on this?

It leaves me wondering, what else is bugged?

Are you sure you are doing everything correctly? Because the most plausible reason for him not to go to his hidning plce, would be you not playing your part correctly.

Make sure you are on top of the Lighthouse during the night, and look at the situation for some time. he will be sneaking all around the town before going to his "hiding place"

but perhaps not close enough to the flame
I stood on the stairs - at the top of the stairs
I am going to test it

Anywhere on the exterior of the top of the lighthouse after 10 PM should work.

So I have tested this a few times
I was too far from the lighthouse fire
I stood out on the top of the stairs
Once I move in towards the fire Fargoth activates

So all ok

are you doing it at the right time? he doesnt go there during the day only at night sleep till like 1am then go(dont think sleeping while your on the watchtower will work)
