how do you recharge spells?
Got myself a nice ol' restoration spell, but it's running out. How do i recharge it? Not exactly signs that tell me now. Google didn't help, either.

You can't recharge spells. You can restore your magicka(mana) if that's what you mean? To restore magicka drink a restore magicka potion or use a restore magicka enchanted item. If you mean the red bar below the selected spell, that's your chance to cast the spell. If you mean enchanted items? Use soul trap on a creature and kill it before it wears off. If you have an empty soul gem, this will fill it. You then click on the filled soul gem in inventory, it will give you an option to either recharge or create an enchanted item. Click on recharge to recharge item. Be aware however that there is a chance to fail at recharging the item, a higher enchanting skill makes this less likely to happen.

For spells you either need a restore magicka potion, or you need to sleep (resting in wilderness or using a bed in town counts as sleep).

As some one above said (and what I think you mean), the red bar underneath the spell is your chance to cast. The higher your restoration skill, the more that red bar will fill, and the higher chance you have to successfully cast the spell. If you're talking about enchanted items, you can just wait and the item will recharge itself over time. You really don't need to use soul gems on it, but you can.

Not 100% but I think current fatigue has something to do with chance to cast too?

If you're the modding type, look into the mod "Fair magicka regen" on nexus mods. It adds a willpower based regen to your magicka. I believe at 100 willpower you will full regenerate in 100 seconds, which is actually pretty balanced. Im also using "leveled magicka" which increases your max magicka by 4% per level. (there is a slight bug where it seems to only go up every other level, but that's fine) My character is pretty far along, lvl 60 i believe. Mainly focused on melee combat but i have around 219 magicka now. It still doenst regen that fast, but it really beats the PAIN of having to sleep or drink potions to refill magicka.

Meh, I found the fact that it doesn't regen actually gives alchemy some use outside of just making money. I mean any potion you can craft you can equally just use an enchanted item to do, other than restoring magicka.

Alchemy is alot eaiser and less demanding than enchanting though.

I always just pay for enchanting, though. Gotta spend all that money on something.

It's all about how YOU want to play. That's the beauty of this game.

The regen isn't good enough to sustain me in long fights, I still carry around some "pepsi" (My name for my restore magicka potions)
I always end up using alchemy. Even if you avoid the silly exploits like +1000 int for enchanting or potion making, its still a good skill.

Health on the left, "Magika" as Morrowind wants to call it on the right.

Restore fatigue is either Mountain Dew or Absinthe.

If you manage a potion with all 3 you get The Necter of the gods.[static.squarespace.com]

Haha, i name my restore fatigue "Mt. Dew"
