AMD GPU Driver Timeouts
I've posted on the AMD Support subreddit as well, but this seems to be specific to Morrowind, so I figured I'd post here as well to see if anyone has insight. New PC, 7900 XT for the GPU. Morrowind runs just find for the most part, but I get random driver timeouts and crashes. There aren't any weird behaviors leading up to it, the game will just crash and I'll get the driver timeout error. There also doesn't appear to be any pattern; it'll happen without having to load a new area, in both interior and exterior cells, in and out of combat. I've tried with two different drivers so far, including the newest 23.2.2. I've tried both with and without my GPU overclock. No other games, new or old, cause these crashes, at least that I've tested so far.

Has anyone else had similar with AMD drivers and Morrowind? I do have some mods installed, nothing crazy, no overhauls, just vanilla++ kinda stuff. I would have thought if it was mods causing the issue, it would be the game throwing errors, not my display drivers though. Hard to test by turning specific mods off/on anyway, because sometimes my game will go all night without an issue, and sometimes it crashes multiple times within 10 minutes.

EDIT 1: Not 100% sure, but it looks like cutting off all of AMD's driver-side effects may have solved the problem. I had Radeon Anti-Lag, Enhanced Sync, and Image Sharpening on. I have not had a crash since I cut those off. I'll give it a few days, and if I haven't had a crash by end of weekend, I'll come back to confirm in another follow-up.

EDIT 2: Did not solve the problem. Took a while, so maybe it's improved, but I had another crash the next day.

Final EDIT: It was the Anti Aliasing settings. I had maxed out AA in MGE, which maxes at 16x. GPU can only handle up to 8x. After changing that, I haven't had an issue.

I sometimes get that when I load the game. I don't have any of the image enhancing options on. When I do get it, it is repeatable and only cured by a reboot - at which point Skype loads an update and then it works.

You just saved me so much headache. I turned off Anti Aliasing all together and that seemed to fix it.
