I am infected by something that zapped strength I didn't see anything pop up at the bottom of the screen so how the helldo you know what your infected with to treat it without having to return to a shrine there is nothing showing on the character sheet

If there's no debuff at the bottom it's not a disease, your stats were drained by drain attribute spells/effects and you have to restore them with restore attribute potions, or at the shrines

make a spell to restore 5 of each attribute

train in Restoration if you have to but it doesnt take a lot

ok but I've been infected with watever the racers infect you with and still nothing shows on the character page I didn't know I was infected til I went to town and all the people say stay away from me I don't want to get what you have. Is there someplace on the character sheet {in other words the sheet that tells all attribute} where it should say your infected instead of just the quick pop up while your in the battle?

Current effects are shown at the bottom of the screen, when you're in character menu you can hover your mouse over them, there's detailed information for what they do and their source. Negative effects are red

I'm wondering if I have some kind of a bug on this game. The only thing it shows is like I had asked about the strength in redthe attributes themselve are shown in red and when I hover over it it just tells what the att. does for you, Nowhere on the screen does it say what is causing it. it's kind of hard to use a potion or even a spell if you don't know what you have to heal.

As I said that means your attribute was drained. Perhaps you've had a disease at one point but it's unrelated. Diseases and attribute drain are different things

To be clear, the diseases and their specific effects appear at the top of the magic menu.

The red in the attribute list may be caused by the disease or by the said drain/damage spell.

Yes. Your attributes are likely damaged, which is a permanent decrease.

If at the top of your magic menu there's no active effects debuffing you, then you have damaged attributes, not a disease. If it's damaged attributes they can be healed with potion, spell, or shrines.

Indeed and with cliff racers they can damage attributes without giving a disease or it is a bug in which the disease is not showing. Magic items that are worn can also effect said attributes. To be fully sure I'd recommend going to a shrine to have all diseases cured followed by restoring attributes should that not work.

Cliff racers don't damage strength, but some undead creatures do, it's very common

The same thing happened to me except it was Agility. I didn't even know it until rats and scribs kept making me fall over. There was no disease listed, I don't even know how it got drained; however, I was able to locate a shrine and get it all resolved.
