The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Does Tamriel rebuilt work with the steam version of the game?
I feel like I'm losing my mind here because I've been trying to get it to work for last hour and nothing.

The BSA's are registered properly (Side-note: I have three Morrowind.ini files. One baked, one based and one Config, is that normal?) it and it's data-file aren't having loadorder issues and there is zero chance of a conflict because it and it's data file are the only mods I have installed.

I've tried to run it via Vortex, Mod Organizer and Manually all fail. I get no errors during loading but when I no-clip over to the new landmasses associated with the mod I get hit with model errors and missing textures.

I know that's what you get if the BSA.s are registered, but I know they are.

I thought I tracked the issue down to a typo on TR's teams end. The PT_Data file was labeled PC_Data File, I changed it to PT thinking it might be the issue and that didn't fix anything.

I'm also running MGXE, I thought maybe that was messing with it somehow so I disabled it and the same thing happens.

It's almost like the files for the mod hosted on Nexus doesn't actually have all the files. That's the only thing I can think of.

But, that can't be the case because thousands of other players have ran the mod with zero issues.

I'm downloading it again as we speak just to see if there are files I'm missing. But, I'm sort of out of ideas and starting to think this is just a very temperamental mod.

PC data is what it is named now, not pt data.

Are you sure you registered BSA correctly? I just installed the mod now like 5 minutes ago and it's working fine.

Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 2=PT_Data.bsa
Archive 3=TR_Data.bsa

That's exactly as it is in my .ini (All three of them, just to be clear.)

I also have the Code Patch enabled as well. Is it possible there is a option there that might be breaking TR?

This is incorrect according to the screenshot in https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44537/?

It's PC_data in their screenshot and I even checked my data files, the file is called PC_data.bsa. it says right there that pt_data is redundant and should be deleted (this is only if you're updating from old version, you shouldn't have this file at all). You're also missing the sky_data.bsa.

Did you download and install the tr data assets as well (the one I linked above).

Did you activate the files in the launcher?

MCP shouldn't interfere with anything

Hey, that fixed it. It was the missing Sky_data archive. I'm not sure why i had to add that archive in myself, but I'm also not sure why the archive was automatically putting it's self down as PT_Data (For the record, I didn't touch the archive beyond making sure everything was there.) I did try the mod out several years ago, maybe that's why?

But I'm a completely different rig now and none of my harddrives were ever in my old system... Steam Cloud data perhaps?

Either way, the issue I have now is sound file errors at game boot. But, I'm willing to assume that's got nothing to do with BSA's. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those don't have sound files?

It would be cool to have an update like this but its way past my 80+ year old brain to comprehend such a thing as this. It sounds awesome BUT I have enough problems with the game as it is. Mayhap someone will have a update that I can install and even understand.....

It's really not that complicated. The only issue I had is that I ran the mod before a few years ago and the changes to the .ini I made saved to the cloud.

If all you want to use is TR, it's set up in a Bain format (That's a file-structure used for Wryebash, I think by modern Bethesda titles it's largely obsolete now. At the very least I've never had to bother with it outside Oblivion.) But, it's very simple to install manually. Their Website has a step-by-step instructions on how to do it with pictures.
