The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Is good to kill Vivec after having finished the main quests (base game and Tribunal)?
I have finished the base game main quest and the Tribunal main quests; before to continue playing I was thinking about killing Vivec.

I mean ... as you know Vivec is part of the Tribunal temple gods along with Sotha Sil and Almalexia, but they "replaced" the original gods (Azura, Boethiah and Mephala); for me Azura and the other 2 original gods are the "good ones" and the Temple gods the "bad ones".

Now I'll made the 2 quests about Boethiah (restoring his shrine) and Mephala so the original gods will be remembered again by the Morrowind people.

I want to kill Vivec but he has made good things for his people so I can't decide if I should kill him being part of the Temple gods or I should spare him because he is not a bad god really.

What do you think?

BTW if I kill Vivec I'll made the temple enemy to me again? II'll suffer some bounties as well? the ordinators will arrest me?

The Steam edition contains the 2 official expansions (Tribunsl and Bloodmoon) but not the free DLCs that you can doiwnload from the official site:

http://www.elderscrolls.com/morrowind/expansions/

The GOG GOTY edition contains all of them; I have this edition, and the Steam editions of OBLIVION and SKYRIM.

You can kill Vivec at any time you want, even before talking to him during Main Quest. However, you have to know your way around and some proeminent characters in the game, because there is only one another who can teach to wield Wraithguard, apart from Vivec. And unless you cheat, its damage kills you before you get to use Sunder and Keening.

You can kill Vivec without cheats.
Get a Daedric Daï-Katana and enchant it with a drain life spell, get some heavy armor set / magical defense spell, heal potion. The fight will be very hard, but if you've the level and the good abilities, you can kill this traitor and usurper for the glory of Nerevar, true champion of Azura :steammocking: .

I've never downloaded any dlc or mods except through steam.
I downloaded them all in the zip folders and they are in their own folder now.
Do i just unzip them and move the contents into the morrowind folder?
I dont want to ♥♥♥♥ anything up.

Every plugin has a txt file with the details on how to install it ... to recap here (from the plugin notes):

1) To install the plugin, unzip the files into the Morrowind/Data Files
directory.

2) From the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box
next to the plugin.esp file.

Official Plugins will not invalidate your old saved games. If you save
your game while this plugin is loaded, you may encounter error messages
when you reload the saved game without the plugin. But, you will be
able to continue on with the original game.

I DON'T KNOW IF THE DLCS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE STEAM VERSION .... REMEMBER THAT I HAVE THE GOG VERSION!

ok.
ill make a second save in case something goes wrong and that should work out right?

This is always a good idea ... I have used only a couple of them (Adamantium Armor and Master Propylon Index) and they worked fine (beside the slippery problem with the armor on some surfaces); the Propylon indices saved me a lot of travel times as you can see from the map on this page:
