No idea what tier comes after glass weapons though... maybe it's ebony? The problem is though, you won't find weapons like these for sale at merchants... you'll find them on your adventures, wielded by someone or at the end of a dungeon or something.
You should eplore some daedric ruins. They are protected by daedras, so you should go there well prepared. Maybe with a fire and frost damage spell too, against antronachs.
But! If you go to Balmora, right next to the Mage's Guild, there's a pawnbroker who sells enchanted weapons that lets you summon a daedric weapon that gives you +10 to your weapon skill too. It only lasts for 60 seconds, but it's more than nothing I guess. You can use soul gems to recharge enchanted stuff. I think these weapons have a value of 3000 septims, so you could probably buy one from the merchant for like 5000 septims,
But you will have to start over, of course. If you don't want to go through everything again, and you don't mind cheating a bit, you can type in enableclassmenu in the console, and change your class from there. Then save the game, restart the game and if you load your game, your character will change class. The level and your skill progress will remain the same though. If you type in "enableclassmenu" and press back when the window pops up, you can change your race too.
Alternatively though, you could start training at the mage's guild. An assassin could make use of Illusion spells, and if you're a dark elf, you'll have a higher destruction skill by default. Keep training until you're at like 30 or something, and you'll be able to cast some simple spells with high chance of success.
Back in the day I didn't even speak English, so I had no idea what the game was about, I just wandered around, and sometimes by chance I completed a quest. Once I took an Ordinator's armor and then I wondered why all the other Ordinators attacked me whenever I spoke to them... turns out you can't wear their armor if you're not a member, but how could I know that haha
YEARS after I first played I got hold of a localized version and found out there's actually a main questline in this game... I was mind blown :D
But nostalgia aside, now I can only play this game with the overhaul mod. The dated graphics and extremely short draw distance are very annoying
You should give it a try[www.nexusmods.com] it makes the game a LOT more immersive
Also, mages are a lot of fun. But they are too overpowered and it feels a bit like you're cheating when you play as a mage :( but still, I can't resist, making your own spells is a lot of fun, and selling drain fatigue potions just pays too well (I wonder what they do with them though... well, if you run away fast enough, they might not notice that you just sold them something completely useless for like a 100 gold haha)
I won't spoil anything else though, you can only experience Morrowind for the first time (I mean duh!) so go out there and explore! Because there is a lot to explore!
The best light armor in the (main) game is glass armor (and really some of the best armor period, third only to ebony and daedric armor in rating, but weighs much, much less). It is difficult to find, especially in dungeons, but keep your eyes open. The dark brotherhood armor you currently have is actually pretty decent as far as most light armor goes.
There's also some quite powerful rings/belts/other nonsense just off the coast of Seyda Neen. It took me 8 years to realise there were caves and tombs out there. Doesn't help much for the weapon and armour, but it's worth looking into for the enchantments the items have.
