Slippery Ground?
I'm not sure why this happened or how, but for some reason the ground seems to be a little slippery when I jump. If there is even the slightest downward hill and I jump, my character just continues to fall until I reach the bottom. It does the same thing to enemies which is super strange. It's never done this before in the years I've played Morrowind, so if anyone has a solution to this issue, it would be greatly appreciated! :b

i have noticed this 'slipping issue' since the first time ive played morrowind, even does it on many flat grounds like in the forign quarter in vivec, many bridges, and well just about everywhere lol.

the falling part you mention i also have noticed since the beginning of time, first happened to me on the bridge to the bridge to the dwemer ruins Arkngthand durring some of the first few quest ive done. I fell through the bridge to the ground and was mad i had to go all the way around again lol.

Ive never fallen through the ground though, never on mountains either; but this 'issue' seems to happen on only bridges and walking around the cantons in vivec while outside (never inside a building or dungeon) and only after a jump action.

It never happened persistantly with me just every now and then and i jump around everywhere since jumping seems to make you move faster in the world, i like the sliding action also because you move as fast and further as the jump.

Just make sure before you jump that your not in a spot that may set you back a whole lot if you were to fall through. anywhere in vivec never was too much of a set back since you just swim to the nearest underworks water entrance.

Yeah, the slippery grounds here and there have always been there, but in certain areas, yanno? I was usually able to detect where a safe spot to jump was without sliding to my death. :b
But it just seems like it's even more common for some reason.
What convinced me that it was off, was after I started a new game and in Seyda Neen, with an Acrobs of 16, sliding on the ground here. Which before, not that I remember anyhow, was never an issue with such low acrobs and on mostly flat ground. I guess I can look past it and hope for the best. I just figured maybe my computer or the construction set I downloaded might have something to do with how the layout and character are affected somehow. But anyways, thanks for the reply!

I have the same problem but with only one type of armor:

I think your acrobatics skill actually may or may not affect the angle at which you can land without slipping down, and at which angles you can walk up terrain without slipping down.
