Console Commands?

I haven't been playing Morrowind for very long, but I just discovered the console command feature and I used it to give myself money and reduce noterority. Is this bannable?

I don't think you can get banned from non-existent servers, so I think you're safe. :P

the conosle in this game isnt as good as the one in skyrim. what i mean by this is that it WILL ♥♥♥♥ with your game if you use it for silly purposes. it was desinged in this game for debugging mainly.

for example i used to use the morrowind console to spawn animals like rats and mudcrabs in town. once the guards killed it i would respawn it with 100000 health and watch the guards gang up on it for hours. i did other cheats like modifying my magicka and such. eventually it messed my game up a bit. the only thing ive noticed so far is that my settings wont save even after uninstalling it and reinstalling. ill turn on subtitles and adjust my difficulty a bit, maybe switch up a couple controls. play through the game on those settings until i get off then next time i fire the game up my settings are back at default. so be careful or it might not end well

Thanks for the heads up about that. I have noticed that a couple of times, the game would glitch out. Maybe its due to the console commands. Again, the only main use i have with the console is just to give myself money XDD Guess I'll stop using it and see if that makes any difference.

I am planning on getting Skyrim for PC soon. Have it on the Xbox 360, which is a crappy port looking back XDD

console on skyrim is okay to cheat with. i use it to spawn stuff and add different things all the time with no issue. i have it on 360 as well i liked it but of course pc is much nicer lol

Yeah. I actually just bought it yesterday and it runs so much smoother (albeit with frame rate drops occasionally) and modding it to play Star Wars music and such makes it even more fun XDD

i got the doom main menu music mod which was recently released and its awesome lol. makes me wanna stay at the main menu and not even play the game. i have framerate drop when i turn quickly on my laptop but none on my desktop, try messing with your options and settings when you first start up the game and its checking your mods. might be able to get rid of that annoyance

I'll give that a shot. Was in Falkareth and experienced huge frame drops xD Maybe I'll disable most of the mods see if that does the trick

the mods shouldnt be the issue. its just how much stuff is loading in on your screen at once. i have my options set at medium quality with anisotropic filtering off and only 4 samples for antialiasing. game runs pretty smooth. also when in game go to your video options and maybe lower the draw distance for little things like grass and buildings.

For settings not saving, try running the morrowind.exe and launcher.exe as admin. It should now save. Irrespective of console use.

Ive been trying to find it but i do not know the key for it . ( Ive only had it for a week so im only level 8.)
