The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Should i sell it or keep it?
Sorry, this is my first playthrough and after been exploring vivec for hours (still didn't finish) i found a daedric dagger in sewers inside a dead body which worth like 10000 coins, it's expensive
The dmg isn't very good though

Keep it, daedric dagger is very good when your enchant skill is higher. Enchant it with weakness to element 100% for 1s and whatever element damage you are using. Very powerful. Becarefull thou against enemy with reflect this dagger will also kill you in seconds.

I second the above suggestion. Daedric weapons are great for enchanting, and they can damage ghosts and daedra without having to be magical. Most weapons have to be magical to do that, but silver weapons and daedric weapons don't have that requirement.

eh, it really depends.
they have a good enchant value for their weight but there are better items available for enchanting, most of those items weight more though.
so if you are planning on doing enchanting later on than you should ask yourself: stronger enchantments but having the item weigh more or a somewhat weaker enchant with an item that weights less.

if you are not planning on doing any enchanting than you have to ask: am i going to use short blades?
there are a few better short blades but they are not easy to come by, so if you are planning on using short blades than keeping the dagger until you find something better might be a good idea.
please note that while there are multiple short blades that have higher dmg per hit none of them have as high an attack speed as the dagger.
altough there are items which combine high (for a short blade) dmg with high attack speed, such as the Daedric Wakizashi and a Daedric Tanto.

if you are going to sell it than i do suggest selling it to a merchant which has lots of money though.

there is the mudcrab merchant which has 10k gold, he can be hard to find if you dont know where to look though.

there is also creeper, he has 5k gold. you can sell him 5k worth of items, than wait until his money resets (2 days i think) than sell the dagger and buy back all the other items in 1 transaction, wait until his money resets and than resell all the items you just bought back from him. he lives in Caldera, Ghorak Manor.

there is also Avevael timsar-Dadisun in the zainab camp, he has 9k gold.

If you want money, launder it. If you don't have enough items in a shop to counter the item, leave it on the floor for later. Always sell to the same shopkeep for this reason.

If you want to use it, ensure your short blade is good enough to use it, otherwise you will constantly miss. You will find Daedric items everywhere at later levels, aswell as every other valuable thing and will end up rich.

I never actually exprecienced the vanilla combat, when i started the game i added a mod so if my weapon connects to my enemy it will cause dmg so i don't know what changes if i upgrade my skill

Nothing. Your weapon skill is 100% meaningless if you got that mod.

Then use the weapon if you like it.
Be aware that this will affect how you play, especially when it comes to levelling up weapons. Play the whole game with a short blade, especially when it reaches 100, and you won't level up other weapons. But you will get rich eventually and can just use trainers... so do whatever really.
