Fighters guild feels evil

In Daggerfall and Oblivion the fighters guild is about protecting civilians from monsters but in Morrowind fighters guild feels like a Mafia, senting me to close someones mouth by killing him, getting protection money and collecting debt, wanting me to follow orders blindly by keeping secrets and hiding details from me, feels more like a bully guild if you ask me.

I really hate this guild, does anyone knows if it gets better later? do i get to fight real monsters, protect someone, maybe escort him to safetly?

There is only perhaps one shady quests in the Balmora's fighters guild chain and that is getting their codex back from the thief guilds which unless you have a good sneak, means killing the thief guild character. But then perhaps they should not have stolen the codex in the first place.

You can just bribe her a little, raise the persuasion and she will give the codex book to you, they never explained to who belongs the codex book but "Valden21" said i will have to do the thiefs guild quest to learn the whole story.

In Balmora's fighting guild you get the Desele's Debt quest and if you ask Helviane Desele she will reveal that you collect protection money.
In vivec Lorbumol gro-Aglakh has given me a quest to silent Tongue-Toad, he never said what's Tongue-Toad's crimes and Percius Mercius said Tongue-Toad was only saying the truth and he should not die for it, ofcourse i let Tongue-toad live but it is clear to me now that something wrong is going on
Lirielle's Debt quest, Ranus owed money but he died and fighters guild want me to collect the debt from Ranu's sister Lirielle Stoine who has nothing to do with it.

Relax, i never said Morrowind is a bad game, i just notice that the fighters guild has corrupted members and if you read the other comments in this thread you will find out i am not the only one who noticed this.

And not every merc is without morals. Thing is, you can't exactly say which group is right and which is wrong if they're both following the charter. As long as they adhere to those rules, then they're both right.

The codex is only a small part of what's going on. There's of lot of behind-the-scenes stuff with the Fighter's Guild, and you need to also do the Thieves Guild quests to get the full picture.

Part of the plot of the Fighter's Guild is the corrupting influence of the Commona Tong, so...you arent wrong really. But well, eventually you can "cleanse" it.

I actually started to like how cruel morrowind is :3

Morrowind's moral choices are a lot less cut and dried than skyrim and oblivion, that is one of the major reasons i love the game.

It is not so much that Morrowind is cruel but more that Oblivion and Skyrim are set in a Hello Kitty world. Skyrim being the worst as the world you play in resembles nothing from what is read and heard of in the previous games. It is all dumbed down and made a lot more friendlier to please the casuel kiddies.
