Dark Brotherhood Quest

So i got attacked by an Assassin at lvl 2 or something and i managed to kill him. Now at the end of the quest you have to get ported to somewhere and talk to a guard there. The problem is that i dont get the talk option about the brotherhood with a guard and now i cant finish the quest. Any suggestions?

Once you get attacked by a DB assassin, you automatically talk about that topic with the first guard you start talking to

Once you get attacked by a DB assassin, you automatically talk about that topic with the first guard you start talking to

yeah i know. this is not the point where i am stuck. they quest goes like this:
1. Rest for any length of time and you will eventually be interrupted by an assassin.
2. Talk to any normal guard to be directed to Apelles Matius in Ebonheart.
3. Speak to Apelles Matius about the Dark Brotherhood to be directed to Asciene Rane in the Grand Council Chamber in Ebonheart.
4. Mention Transport to Mournhold to Asciene Rane to be teleported to the Royal Palace in Mournhold.
5. Talk to a guard in Mournhold to complete the quest.

i am stuck at 5. No guard will talk to me in Mournhold about this and it drives me maad

When you get to Mournhold, go talk to a wood elf named Gaenor, then leave. Wait 3 days and go talk with him again. He can be found in front of the Mournhold Temple. ... He will help you get ebony armor!

It's been awhile since I've done this quest, so my memory of it is really fuzzy, but did you specifically mention the Dark Brotherhood to the Mournhold guards?

thats what i have in mind too. they say that they dont trust me to talk about this topic but i think its kinda dumb to deny me the end of the quests just because i dont have enough reputation. also how do you increase the reputation from the guards?

when you talk to them click persuasion then either bribe them or if your speechcraft skill is high enough you admire them
