Is a damage attribute spell OP?
I just realized I can, right off the boat, head to the mages guild and buy a damage attribute spell and then use spellmaking to reduce someones strength by 40, which is, as I understand it, stackable and lasts forever. So I could literally make any enemy I come across do absolutely no damage to me? Am I missing something or is it really this good? Also I could do the same for any other attribute, but I figured strength would be the best for gimping melee enemies.

Yes. Not only will they do like no damage, but they'll lose so much strength they have no encumbrance and thus can't move.

Yes it is OP. If that bothers you, there is always the Morrowind Hardcore Mode mod.

You'll end up OP in Morrowind no matter what you do. The game is meant to be a power fantasy, not a challenge. Just enjoy the memes

Funny spells I've found:

Damage all the attributes that contribute to stamina by 100. Then punch the person one time. Congratulations, you've just knocked out a person for as long as you remain in the same loaded area as them. They'll never get up.

Summon a scamp. Fortify strength, speed, and agility 100 points. Maybe make a second fortify other spell as well so you can power it up to 200 each. These spell effects stack if they're on different spells you made. Now your scamp is more powerful than a golden saint or a Daedra and will instantly murder anything that gets in it's way. Add willpower if you want it to be immune to magic too.

Levitate 1 point for 2 seconds on target in 400 (is that the max?) feet. It will kill every cliff racer in the area of the spell because once levitate wears off, they fall to their death even though the cliff racer should be able to fly. Similarly, I've used levitate to kill people by giving them a strong levitate spell for a short duration. Then I jump. I always enchant my gear with fortify jump 30, so anyone who is attacking me will race into the air to chase me only to take massive fall damage.

Damage personality 100 pts for 2 seconds on touch. Drain barter 100 pts for 5 seconds on touch. Fortify personality 100 pts on self for 5 seconds. Fortify barter 100 points on self for 5 seconds. Calm humanoid on touch. This spell combination lets you lower a merchant's prices to rock bottom. They will be absolutely horrible at bartering compared to you. This kind of breaks the game because you're 100 times better at bartering than the NPC you use it on. the only penalties are the merchant will like you less for attacking them, and the guards will try to fine you for assault. But most merchants have more gold to give you than an assault will cost you, and while this spell is active the merchant will artificially like you 100%. Spell timers don't tick down when talking to someone, bartering, or in an inventory menu.

Levitate 100 pts for 10 seconds on target. Levitate 100 pts for 10 seconds on self. Slowfall 100 pts for 400 seconds on target. Have a ring of slowfall for 2 pts. This sticks whoever you want in the air for a very long time because slowfall really only needs 2 magnitude to work. At 100 magnitude, you almost don't fall at all.
