The launcher sometimes will not recognise gpu's (especially some laptops). Mine is not recognised by Morrowind, Oblivion or Titan Quest, this does not mean it is not being used. Easily tested by changing to the onboard graphics and seeing how bad it is.
For Win 11:

I actually use Win 7 and an Amd card app for choosing my game settings, I believe Nvidia does a similar thing.
Do not expect the launcher to show the real card you are using.
I've got a 2070 btw
So yeah kinda lost :c
And thanks for letting me know that the launcher won't show the real card i'm using !
How does it crash? Does it enter the game then crash or does it hang at the start?
Otherwise if installed correctly and you have set up and ran "Distant Land" etc and ensured (to begin with) that the resolution is set to your laptops native resolution, then I am at a loss.
Are you using MGE XE for the better graphics or are you wanting to use mods that need MGE XE? If just the better graphics have you considered OpenMW?
