The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Skills pick for efficient leveling
So, I've been doing some research on the most efficient way to level. Looks like the trick is to pick main and backup skills that you won't use much and make sure you cover all stats in your misc skills. I'm not quite sure about the most efficient way to go about this. Any suggestions?

Looks cool. Do you get +5 level ups with that skill distribution?

Honestly it doesn't matter. I've had characters I made sure had max multipliers and guys I didn't give a ♥♥♥♥ with, and they all turn into God's by level 25 regardless.

Just play the game and have fun. Worrying about the multipliers doesn't do you any favours besides have you worry about something that's virtually negligible.

Yeah, I think I'm over thinking it. Restarted after putting a day in and it's turned into a job, should just go back to my original and play through it the normal way.

If you want some examples of ‘efficiently levelled’ characters (ie reaches 100 max Attributes ASAP), there’s some eg’s near the end of this long protracted thread:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/22320/discussions/0/1697167168517642560/

But really, it’s not hard to ‘mostly’ min max your way through Morrowind and achieve a similar final result to what is posted there.

In theory, the ‘max’ level that a character in Morrowind an achieve without breaking the game is level 78, and this is achieved by selecting lots of major/Minor skills that start as low as possible. If you decide to pick Skills the normal way, your max level should still be in the 70’s, which isn’t that much difference when it comes down to it (basically a 5-10% HP difference).

Find a character design you like, and then play however you like. If you’d like some ideas, I had a lot of fun with this guy:

Thanks I'll check it out. I don't need to be max efficient, +4 or 5s on 3 skills per level up is all I'm looking for. I typically get stuck with 1 +5 and 2 +2's on normal level ups.

Good to know, I was worried I would gimp my character if I didn't get the x5 multiplier.

If you work out the math regarding Attributes: not including Luck, you need at most 390 attribute points to get everything to 100, and have 70ish levels to do it. So if you’re getting 3 x2’s on average every level (ie 6 points per level, where 390/70 = about 6) you should be able to max all Attributes except for Luck by the time you hit your level cap. Which is plenty of room.

If you want to max Luck however, you’ll have to plan ahead a little more and start taking it most likely in the teen levels. It will start most likely at 40, meaning that 60 level ups that take Luck as an attribute point will be required to max it to 100. There are things you can do to speed up this process as well, such as take Luck as a Favoured Attribute, or drink from the Bittercup with Luck artificially increased.

For all terms and purposes though, you should be fine playing someone that isn’t min maxing from the start. If you want to min max at any stage as well, there’s always the option of buying tons of training for easy +5 attribute increases.
