The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

What mods do people use to make Solstheim worth going to?
Only ever played through Solstheim once complete. The other couple of times gave up as I found it just so lack lustre and boring. I have been checking and googling for anything that might make it worthwhile. From the landscape to creatures and quests.
Just wondering what other people may use.

Tomb of the Snow prince is a nice visual makeover

I'm looking forward to try Ashfall on Solstheim but no idea what to expect

some of the side-quests from random NPCs are interesting, actually the only part i enjoyed on that expansion.

i still remember some random "ghost" in a random coast at the west side of the map (was doing Hircine quest at the time i think) which was cursed and never able to find rest unless you helped him.. dont recall the details, been like 15y since i last found him and did his quest; but it was very interesting overall..

the main quests are kind of boring indeed

Thanks for replies so far.
So Snow Prince seems a must, the landscape is dreadful.
Have already downloaded the Tamriel-Data (HD and normal, just in case HD causes large fps drops).

Ashfall is something I have been thinking of using when I choose a build to be masochistic and do a complete completionist, that is uncover every single blade of grass. Almost did it once long ago. lol

Found a mod quest called White Wolf, takes place on an island just off shore.

As I said played through before and been there a few times, but going from Morrowind or Tribunal to Solstheim, well it is just a let down.

The final mission for bloodmoon is imo the hardest mission in any elder scrolls game, and actually I quite like it. But yes most of the main quest is boring. Though the werewolf quests were interesting enough the first time around.

How is it NOT worth it?
I am playing it RN for the first time, and I love it. I am a demigod on the mainland, I find myself almost never truly challenged, and I'm not even cheesing.
But I arrive on the island and I've been killed in battle more times than ever before. Those damn reiklings on those boar. I've had an absolute blast playing it so far. Activating the stones was one of the coolest thing I think I've done so far, such an unusual quest.

What don't you like about it? just curious.

I have played this game for close to 10000 hours. Nearly every build you can think of, every area, every blade of grass I have played and discovered.
Solstheims landscape is boring, flat and filled with the same damn few reiklings and wolves (I was hoping to find Sabregirls Solstheim Ecology mod, cannot find a download anywhere. It adds dear, rabbits, goats etc etc, perfect for Ashfall. Thought about Triangletooths but that might destroy my fps its so script driven).
As a demi-god when I get there, nothing stands in my way. Unless I skip Tribunal and do Bloodmoon first.
Most of the quests are as boring as hell. No where near as "openworld" as Morrowind. The 2 factions you choose from for the main quest, well, who cares about either.
The last part is good and tough, the only good thing about it.
Played it too long and Solstheim makes me feel jaded. There are great mods for the mainland, such as ROTH (Rise of House Telvanni. A good reason to choose that house) and many more.
If its your first time through, then enjoy it. But after you have ground yourself through the main quest and realised it all looks the same, behaves the same, well...........
Solstheim is boring.
