The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Double Image Appearing When Trying to Record Footage (OPEN MW VR)
Although my in headset view of the game is normal, my stream/recordings produce a double image. Meaning there is a vertical line down the center of the screen and its showing two instances of the game. One on the left, one on the right.

How to make it just one image?

Example of the issue:

I've posted this on 3 different forums to no avail. How am I the only person experiencing this?

(Heavily experienced with OBS and I know its not the recording software causing this.)

What software are you using to record the headset?

one area that could easily be a problem is that you have two sources one for each eye hence if this was the case you would end up with that same scenario.

I was going to say use video editing software to crop out one side and the fill screen, but I see you want to stream.
I came across this, it is for Twitch but should work on most software:
"How do I stream what I see in VR?
How to Set Up a VR Stream on Twitch
Open the game you want to play.
Head over to the software you use to stream (OBS, Streamlabs, etc.)
In the scene, you want to use you have to add a new source.
The source you will need is a game capture source.
Choose “Capture specific window” under the settings “Mode”."

Im actually pretty well experienced with OBS, so I already know how to record properly and all that. This is strictly a morrowind open vr issue. For whatever reason, the game is only displaying stereoscopic on my monitor mirror, as opposed to monoscopic, which is what I need. most VR games just use monoscopic, so I dont have this issue. That said, Ive seen videos of morrowind vr without this issue, so I know it can be fixed.

You are talking about something that is being effected by two other abstract layers which are

1.Your headset
2.OBS

There is room for problems to occur in any of the 3 areas involved the third being OpenMWVR. The first video i watch when i type Morrowind VR into Youtube is
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81AlmUr3S1c
no problems there, kind of ironic that the very first video on the list is a video about breaking morrowindVR it was just an example that i used in that people are recording VR no problems

Without really knowing what you are doing with your setup what headset you are using all the little nuances and any other abstract layers that may be invloved. Then tbh others are just as dumbfounded as you are and know just about as much as you do in terms of what the issue is.

I would say its either user error/oversight at this point or compat issues with your particular headset.

I use a quest 2. Lots of other people are using a quest 2 for this. I know its not obs because I am an obs pro and use it daily and have never seen this issue ( I make OBS tutorials). It is a specific issue with open mw vr, The mirror seems to be stereoscopic and I need to change it to monoscopic. I know exactly what the issue is, just not how to fix it. I assume you are not familiar with VR or you wouldnt have made that comment

So ya, it snot my headset and its not obs. I record VR games daily.

I just found it funny that you feel the need to stress how good you are all over this thread yet you cannot work out what the problem is.

ok genius so how come other people are recording morrowind VR perfectly fine?

Again its either user error or most likely its compat issues with your headset. you also just mentioned that other people are using quest 2 so if it works for many other people and not you then yeah...so much for being a pro

If your so experienced and definitely know its not your equipment or software,. Then logically have to ask, have you been to the OpenMW forum to ask for help? As that would be the last piece of the puzzle.

Also you was having problems installing texture mods on another thread. Did you sort that or check anything I posted?

textures? like common that is the easiest thing to do for openmw

l;ol what is your problem?

You came here so rude right off the bat. I'm simply stating I know OBS like the back of my hand and this is not an OBS issue.

Yes Ive made a post in the forums and this is a completely separate issue. I was confused about the modding because of the instructions provided VIA open mw. I decided to manually install the normal way I always have instead and it worked fine.
