There is that trick with Fortify Intelligence potions you can do, but other than that, notthing I can think of at the moment. Look through the Guides section.
EDIT: Added quote.
Not much I can do about those. Several mundane items boost str. I dont even think that those are exploits. I mean, they are powerful sure, but they are limited by your resources and have durations. You kinda earn them with all the time spent collecting all the ingredients and building your skills up etc. While being able to make infinitely super powerful constant enchantments really breaks the game.
If I wanted to stop people from making uber potions, i would pretty much have to remove alchemy from the game entirely. Id prefer not to do that.
I might be able to remove all ingredients that have fortify intelligence. If thats the only exploitable one... but that might also break some quests. So yea, those are here to stay. Besides, people who use such tricks and exploits probably wouldnt be interested in playing my mod and shouldnt be.
There are a few mods that tried to nerf alchemy because of the feedback loops, but they all generally made alchemy useless/pointless. The way I see it, if you want to use the exploit then you can, if you don't want to you don't have to.
I’d be careful restricting ‘all’ Fortify spells and effects from the game. There’s a section of Tribunal that is basically impossible without the Fortify Attribute potions that drop in the ground.
But yes, if you wanted to nerf ‘op’ aspects of Morrowind, then I’d probably include Fortify Skill/Attribute spells in that list. Along with unlimited training (except maybe for weapon skills, because they’re next to impossible to raise from 5), and all the absurd ways of making money. And probably Damage Strength as well as it’s pretty bonkers broken.
Also, if you don’t want to touch Alchemy, maybe you could introduce an Attribute cap? (say like a free hundred?) I’m not sure if such a thing is possible, but it would certainly nullify the positive-feedback-loop-Fortify-self-to-god-status aspect of potion drinking.
Ooh look I got quoted . :)
This kill method seems reasonable: summon something over lava, soul trap it and then wait for it to die. You can find a GS summon spell in Tel Branora (as mentioned ), can find empty grand soul gems in various Telvanni towers, and can then find money/spells to make all the component pieces to net yourself a Constant Effect soul potentially from level 1. Clever use of the lava, I like it. :)
One thing though: I imagine that you either have multiple items to fortify your Enchant, or have uncapped the magnitude restriction (from MCP or similar) for Enchanted items? Because 100 is the maximum magnitude for any Enchanted item or spell in Vanilla Morrowind.
I have an Exquisite Ring with an Enchant capacity(?) of 120 which I enchanted with Fortify Enchant skill by 500 points for 1 or 2 seconds. In order to use it, you need to get your inventory up the instant you use the enchantment and then use your soulgem. I am pretty sure I made this enchantment after I installed the MCP as I installed it before installing the Tribunal Delayed mod to avoid getting attacked in my sleep. The enchantment isn't Constant Effect so you do have a time window but it can be as low at 1 second and still work.
That is yet another exploit that has been in use ever since the game game out and it works on other skill fortifiers, too, but if you want to see it pushed to the extreme then make an enchantment with Drain Magicka 100% for 1 second and use it when you are almost out of magicka. The duration happens so fast that by the time the game replenishes what you had by that percent the effect is already over and you get a full magic bar. It basically refills what was never there in your magic bar to begin with.
And I can confirm that the Golden Saint enchantment for 40 seconds will work over lava but the trick is you need to make sure the golden saint is summoned in the lava and then that it does not get out. Constant damage from lava alone will kill a golden saint in less than 40 minutes.
EDIT: Added quote.
An Attribute cap would do the job wouldn’t it? If such a thing is possible?

Here’s some inspiration. 😛
