Moon Sugar + Kagouti Hide = potion of speed.

Ok thanks

Balmora Trader's name is Ra'Vir

Raviir in Balmora is the most obvious one. He doesn't have that much cash, but you can also trade for one of his nice weapons.

The Creeper should also buy them, but the Creeper is OP.

Ravir was a close friend to me for many of my childhood years i ended up always killing him to take over his tavern and arranging things i found on my adventures on the boxes and book shelves , but yeah he will buy your moon sugar he always has some awesome early game swords but are priced to be unobtainable too early on that it would ruin progression

Creeper won't buy moon sugar; it counts as an ingredient, and he doesn't buy ingredients. He buys booze, magical items, weapons and armor, and soul gems. As for who Creeper is, he's a non-hostile Scamp that lives on the 2nd floor of Ghorak Manor, in Caldera. He's the only non-hostile daedra in the entire game, and the second richest merchant in the base game; he starts with 5000 gold. Outside of Tribunal and Bloodmoon, only the Mudcrab Merchant has more gold, and the Mudcrab Merchant is hard to find.

No joke. I have 100's of hours in Morrowind and I only recently encountered it for the first time. Although it helps if you don't go on a Mudcrab murder rampage and only attack them if they engage you first...so...yeah...

Any khajjit will buy it and I believe argonians as well. An early game option is the balmora mages guild khajit alchemist. You can also drop it on the ground to do business with other merchants and simply pick it back up afterword.

Also, fact of major significance: he buys everything at full price regardless of your mercantile skill. What's listed on the item is what he pays, even if you have Mercantile = 1.

You become super rich super quickly if you use Creeper. He basically breaks the whole economy and makes Mercantile completely useless.

The Morrowind Code Patch remove the Creeper's ability to trade, which is good.

Does it?
I use MCP and still trade with the "Scamp".
Good job as well. I must have 500,000 worth of goods stashed waiting to sell. lol

p.s Mercantile skill a waste anyway, there is/was a worse glitch in the vanilla game regarding mercantile.
Innocent May 26, 2021 @ 6:00pm
Mercantile is not a waste if you play the game as intended, i.e. no Creeper, and no abusing the levelling system.

Creeper trading is disabled on my copy. Maybe it's the economy adjustment mod I use. I HIGHLY recommend eco adjustment mods.

My point exactly. With this kind of money, you don't need money anymore in this game. You can buy/bribe anything. You effectively have infinite scrolls. There is no reason to quest for anything. By all mean, play like this if you want. I just find it boring after an hour.

I already have 200,00 just by selling junk to normal merchants. No haggling just get rid of it.
Mercantile is really not needed, unless you want to play "shop".

What is the point have having all those high value items if you cannot sell them?
What is the point of even looking for them or finding them?
Wow! they look great and are worth a fortune but have enchantments or is an item I cannot use and they cannot be sold. Put them in the trash can.

The reason they put the Scamp and Crab in was so people had a choice which way to play.
And it is a choice.
