It's more like a remake, sorta. Not a "remaster"
Not going to happen. Todd looks on these games as a product of their time and feels they should be played in their original form.
Also, I don't think that OpenMW affect Morrowind that much that it's not feels like vanilla. Actually it's feels like more vanilla, then vanilla+MCP+MGE XE, at least.
Lot of mods are not even ported from Skyrim Legacy to Skyrim Special Edition yet, for example. And Skyrim is more then x20 times popular. There is two standards for Morrowind already and the third one will bring the chaos..
The best Bethesda can do for Morrowind is opensource the code and make the game free like Daggerfall. MHO.
If we can get fixes on UI, quest bugs, and resolution etc. why the need for old mods?
all one really needs.
sounds like a you problem. I don't want current Bethesda to put their greasy fingers on Morrowind.
Also sounds like a you problem, nobody cares what you want either. It doesn't have to be bethesda that would do the remaster, do you not understand that?
Learn to mod it or just play purist vanilla in high res MGE XE, with mcp patch and upscaled textures, which isn't bad on it's own and literally would be a better remaster than current year Bethesda are capable are of doing. Or just wait for that overhyped Skywind crap.
You can whine in this thread for eternity and jump at peoples throats. Will get you nowhere.
I am not whining, just enjoying the illogical replies from mod-maniacs that I found out recently here.
I mostly wish for a remaster like that of Grim Fandango, or Red Alert, they were done exceedingly well, with ton of documentation, development details (art, vids, designs), & developer commentary
Hmm, maybe is because Bethesda can't do bugfixing for ♥♥♥♥ so we need mods for it?
You mean the canon and lore they retcon with pretty much every new game in the series? face it, Bethesda doesn't give a damn about those.
Their retcon-happy attitude got so bad that the guys from Tamriel Rebuild had to basically say "♥♥♥♥ it, nothing after Morrowind counts"
