Gateway Haunting Annoyance
When I completed this quest, I mentioned the Ghost-free Papers to the prefect. The papers were still in my inventory afterwards and NPCs keep mentioning the haunting. I have my ring, and my journal shows the quest is completed. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance.

It's not a bug. You can still use the subject to have fun; and from memory the papers stay in your inventory as Angaredhel is understandably cross so probably refused to keep them when you handed them to him. I might be wrong there though. Here is a quote from the UESP wiki:

"When you have finished the quest, you can boost the disposition of House Telvanni members in town by mentioning the Gateway haunting topic. Their disposition will increase by 20 and this method can be repeated until the disposition of the NPC is 70 or higher.
You can additionally use this method to increase dispositions with NPCs in Wolverine Hall, but there it only works if you finished the quest by not revealing Uleni Heleran's involvement."

Thanks for posting. I read the wiki before I posted.

I've done the quest with several other characters, and I don't remember the Gateway topic being mentioned after the quest was completed. It remains a topic that I can mention to NPCs, which isn't a problem. I believe Angaredhel took the papers with the other characters, too.

I'll just avoid asking about the latest rumors when I'm in Sadrith Mora. :-)
