ashlander build
soooo im trying to rp an ashlander wanted some thoughts from people to make it more authentic, theres only a few guide/topics about it online so i thought id ask here.

gone with major skills of Marksman, Spear, Light Armour, Short Blade, Restoration

minor skills Security, Armourer, Acrobatics, Athletics, Block

i did want to use either sneak or alchemy but even after nearly 20 years of playing this game i still find them totally pointless

im focusing on using only armour (like netch chitin etc) and weapons an ashlander would use so ignoring smithed stuff like iron steel silver but i am using glass dwarven and possibly ebony as glass and ebony is formed by red mountain so i assume they would use it to make stuff from and why wouldnt they use a dwarven weapon if they found one right?

whats people thoughts on daedric weapons for the rp side would they have been taboo?? also artifact weapons like spear of bitter mercy would that fit in to the rp of it at all?

any suggestions for this build welcomed i can always make a new game if someone comes up with a better suggestion :)

Cool. I would think artifact weapons would be so prestigious nobody would look you down because you use one.

I think it depends on the artifact weapon in question. For instance, Goldbrand might be okay because that's Boethiah's artifact and Boethiah is one of the three Daedric Princes that Ashlanders revere, along with Azura and Mephala. But if you're carrying something like Mehrunes' Razor or the Daedric Crescent, two of the signature weapons of Mehrunes Dagon, that might create suspicion due to Mehrunes Dagon being responsible for the destruction of Ald Sotha and the near-destruction of Mournhold.

IMO, Spear of Bitter Mercy and Cuirass of Saviors Hide shouldn't really hold much problem from a lore standpoint, as those artifacts are associated with Hircine. IIRC, the Ashlanders don't really have much problem with him. But the Fang of Haynekhtnamet could pose some issues because it's found in a Sixth House base. Even though there's no direct connection between that dagger and the Sixth House, and the dagger fits within the material restrictions you want, the Ashlanders HATE the Sixth House. I can imagine that many Ashlanders would think of the weapon as tainted do to being in a Sixth House base.

GOOD POINT didnt think of it that way currently using an ebony short sword ebony spear and the bonemold bow from the ashlander burial tombs, do you think daedric weapons would be an issue? i have reservations that ashlanders would use a daedric blade or spear
