It's a good point, but I don't have much time to play.
So, instead of trying and then rewinding 5-10 hours back or starting over, I think it's better to ask ahead of time.
I understand that Morrowind is the game that oozes time investment.
I don't want spoilers, I just want to know if it's worth the time. Is it reversible? Is it fun? How well is it implemented in Morrowind? Or it doesn't add much?
From what I've read, it's not really worth the time to become a vampire. The content available for vampires isn't as fleshed out as the other factions quests, as you only get a limited number of quests. Furthermore, the quests you get are partially determined by the clan of the vampire that infects you, as that's what controls what clan you can join. You also lose the ability to regain health by sleeping, there are no vampire spell merchants and regular merchants will refuse to deal with you, you become weak against fire damage, and you take damage whenever you're outside during the day. Although there is a cure, it's a one-shot. Once you cure vampirism, that's it; no more vampirism for you. Depending on how far along you are in the main quest, you might not be able to become a vampire anyway due to plot reasons.
As for werewolves, they've got their own set of problems. For one, they lose 400 points of health once the sun rises unless they've killed an NPC the previous night. So every night, an NPC has to die. Your inventory is locked while you're transformed as well; good luck trying to use it. Your weapon selection is also limited when transformed; just claws. Finally, you have to transform out of sight of everybody, otherwise EVERYBODY wants you dead.
vampires are weak to the sun and fire and everything
werewolves are controllable if you get hircine's ring
Ill usually become a vampire for a little bit then get myself cured after finishing the content.
Werewolves are sweet too but you turn into one every night, and if someone sees you transform then you'll be discovered and will get bounty if you kill people. But if you're undiscovered, you can kill people and nobody knows it's you.
If you finish the blood moon quests, you get a ring that allows you to turn into a werewolf at will instead.
Limited time. If I can save time by asking for an advice of people who clocked 200+ hours, then I'm going to do it. Why do you have to criticize this? I'm not asking for a walkthrough
I'm going to do the same, sounds great, thank you
Vampires and werewolves sound like something really worth it for variety and roleplaying, and not necessarily power play. Which sounds good to me
Sounds like a great point, actually. It is a curse, after all
