Help? morrowind main quesline bugged Progress of Truth (Book)

I am on Vivec Informants I met with Huleeya and escorted him to Jobasha's Bookshop,I helped Addhiranirr with the excise agent and Received the information, I met Mehra Milo, I paid for the book Progress of Truth but then I went to my Mannaz Manor and got my books sorted but did not know that the Progress of Truth would also get taken/sorted then I got the Progress of Truth book back and Returnd to Caius but he would not take the Progress of Truth book it acted as if I did not have it in my inventory and I prefer not to use the console to set my pickpocket skill high it's too low to reverse pickpocket is there a console command to fix this bug or any other way to fix this?

I've got the same problem with a next quest (talk at the Urshuliaku's camp) and with the recipes of Aurane Frernis... I did everything but they never accept

I have the gog version of gotty.

Sorry, I'm french and very not computer usually, so I didn't understant "gog version of gotty" ..

It means they have the "GotY" (Game of the Year) edition of the game, and that they bought it on GOG.com (a different online store).

I have no idea what that mod does, but here's a few ideas:
- Sell the book to a merchant, then re-buy it.
- Find another copy (UESP lists five fixed locations[en.uesp.net]).
- Throw it away and use the console to add a fresh one to your inventory.

As I said, "find another copy". Buy it, steal it, do whatever needs to be done. Library is one of the five guaranteed locations listed in the UESP link I gave you.

well I know one way to steel it if sneaking fails I could taunt everyone in the library and then kill them no bounty shame that skyrim and oblivion has no taunt and kill mechanics without a bounty.
