Morrowind GOTY Mods?
I recently got the Morrowind Game of the Year Edition via the code TES25TH-MORROWIND at Bethesda.net and was wondering where I could get mods for the game and how to get them. I'm asking more because I want to be able to have good graphics for the game or at least be able to find a mod that will allow me to. I have yet to open the game, but I will be playing it modless for my first run. Or at least, for as long as possible. I'm just wondering where I can do so when I want to. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated.

But will the Nexus mods work with the GOTY?

Yes. I have already installed some on GOTY from Gog.com.

Maybe you need to update it. Or you haven't properly downloaded either. Then again, it may just be your computer.

I can't seem to get the NMM to find Morrowind. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

NMM doesn't seem to be able to detect the BethLauncher install of Morrowind yet. It is advised that you install mods manually for the time being, or try out Mod Organizer 2.

Considering you're not after a large mod install-list for the time being, you might very well be able to survive the pain that is a manual install, and it wouldn't even be much of a problem because when you need a clean Vanilla Instal, Morrowind probably won't be that much of a pain to reinstal.

As for your current project, I understand the objective of playing as close to unmodded as possible, but I will still recommend that you grab the Unofficial Patche(s?) and basic quality of life mods.

There is after all a difference to be argued between "Not Broken-Beth-Release-State" and "Not Vanilla" ; Although maybe you'll want to experience the game as-is with all its technical peculiarities as a matter of historical curiosity!

best mod is open mw and tes3mp. open mw is a new engine for morrowind which makes the game look a little better and run a little better but with open mw you can run tes3mp which is a multiplayer mod

Open mw is not compatible in all mods, depending on which mod you would like to play.

no they arent all compatible but theres still a large selection plus you get the benefit of multiplayer fun

I moved the Morrowind folder out of the beth-launcher folder and into my Games folder, then NMM found it.
