Corprus Cure bug?
I've completed the corprus cure quest and a few things have gone wrong? My attributes have not been restored - i've googled this and apparently this is common so I didn't think twice about it and carried on playing.
However later on I was denied service at a merchant because if carried the corprus disease? even though I had cured it? Does anyone know how to resolve this

Okay, according to UESP, it looks like you need to use a potion, spell, or visit a shrine to restore those attributes. However, I didn't see any mention of merchants refusing to do business with you because of this bug, so it'll hopefully resolve itself once your attributes are restored.

Do you have a save from before you were cured? It might be worth checking to see if it works correctly when you try again, the game may have had a scripting hiccup. Your stats being drained is a common bug and can be fixed like Valden21 said, the game still thinking you have corpus is different and may be a real issue . Does every merchant do that? Do you get the corpus warning from random NPCs too? Does it still happen after you quit the game and reload?

Do you use the Morrowind Code Patch and Patch for Purists? If not, I recommend them. Together they are Morrowind's equivalent of the unofficial patches for Skyrim/Oblivion and fix a lot of bugs.

Script Improvements can also help, though I don't know if it even touches that particular script.

And keep in mind most of these mod fixes might rely on you having an old save. Like, that script fix likely would only work at the time the disease is supposed to be removed and do nothing for you now (but it's worth a try.)

The real test whether you cured it or not us to rest 24 hours. If you get a message that your corprus worsened, then you still have it.

Normally it should cure your disease, but you gotta restore attributes normally (because the nature of curing it is that it's supposed to just remove the bad effects of corprus while you keep the hood effects like immortality and increased strength, so they have it that way because it keeps your upped strength and endurance forever).

May have also been a glitch due to having a spell absorption /reflection /resistance, etc etc. As fyr casts a spell on you when you drink it, it could have absorbed or resisted the actual cure (kind of like how you can resist or absorb the cure from an altar)

I think that on UESP it's mentioned that negative effects (attribute drain) should be healed by using Shrine (but I don't know how it's with the cure as I didn't even started main quest yet), but positive effects aren't returned back. But they can be permanently taken away by enemy's drain attribute spells.

Also here[en.uesp.net] it's mentioned that there is a bug that if you get infected from one corprus infected NPC, then your main quest gets bugged and you have to reload a game (or maybe remove it through some console command or script?)
