Alt-Tab doesn't work - can't switch window without quitting the game !
The windows switch using Alt-Tab doesn't worrk, once the game is launched it's grabing and locking the keyboard and mouse focus until we quit through the main game menu ...
It's the third time I have to restart the game from scratch because of this (including character creation, tutos, etc..), it start to really piss me off !
I think I will go back to DosBox and install my legacy version of Morrowind.

Don't do it then. That's literally all I can tell you because without Borderless Window mode, many TES titles just flat out crash with Akt-Tab. Oblivion does it, Skyrim does it. I haven't found a workaround to the issue so like you, I'm stuck with not Alt-Tabbing.

Yeah pretty much all the games in this engine crash or have major errors after you alt tab them

Alt-tab works fine here. I use MGEXE, and set the game to borderless windowed, so that may be it.

Borderless Windowed is the only fix like ever. Was unaware you could do that with MGE XE since its been awhile. Try Borderless Windowed and it should fix the issue.

Hi guys, thanx for the answers. The borderless mode doesn't work (I can get the mouse pointer back but the game crash), but I found the solution : Setting the compatibility mode to Windows 8 for 'Morrowind.exe' solve the issue ...

This was always an issue even when I played the game on win xp back in the day
Another workaround for steam version is to turn on steam overlay in game (shift+tab) and then alt-tab while it's on

Wut, why? It's a 2002 game, not 1992.
