Strange error
Steam won't let me download the game, it gives me a "content file locked" error for
Steam\steamapps\common\Morrowind\Data Files\Sound\Vo\h\m\Hlo_HM028.mp3
I've done exactly what was recommended online for this error, I did
netsh winsock reset
in my console and restarted my PC, but it still wouldn't install. I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall multiple times with no luck. Any tips?

I would find that file and delete it. Then do steam verify file check

recommended? where? it would make sense this game at least had multiplayer or any kind of online interaction....

beyond that, i'd also recommend checking errors in your Steam library (Steam menu -> settings -> downloads -> library folders -> right click -> repair) and clearing the download cache (Steam menu -> settings -> downloads -> clear download cache)

Tried this, still having an error. When I try to delete the file it says "Error code: 0x80070570" which means it's a corrupted file and can't be deleted. Any idea?

"Causes of "0x80070570"

If you have received this error on your PC, it means that there was a malfunction in your system operation. Common reasons include incorrect or failed installation or uninstallation of software that may have left invalid entries in your Windows registry, consequences of a virus or malware attack, improper system shutdown due to a power failure or another factor, someone with little technical knowledge accidentally deleting a necessary system file or registry entry, as well as a number of other causes. The immediate cause of the "0x80070570" error is a failure to correctly run one of its normal operations by a system or application component. "

Its not Morrowind.

Well, what do you do when you have corrupted files? Run chkdsk on the drive of course.

Thanks for the help, guys. Got it working! Ran chkdsk over night and the problem was solved.
