Better Graphics Mods?
A few years ago I found a huge mod that improved the graphics considerably, but I've lost my edge in finding and installing mods over the years. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I could find it and how it install it.
many thanks

You are probably talking about the MGSO, Morrowind Graphics and Sound Overhaul

Check out a video on YouTube from "Lady Lidia" called "Overhauling Morrowind for Dummies". It's a step by step install of MGSO and Morrowind Rebirth, which is amazing for a vanilla-ish modded first playthrough that's nicer on the eyes for modern pc's.

Video and actual modding session only takes about 30-45 minutes.

Definitely look into it.

Morrowind rebirth just adds a small compilation of graphic mods to it. A Its not really a graphics overhaul itself. But it does add more fluff content. More structures with NPCs and random loot boxes.

Oh, and it adds a bunch of its own music tracks, which are quite excellent.

I would recommend not getting Rebirth for a first playthrough, though. It's better to know what the actual game is like first rather than later on (if ever).

Agreed. Morrowind Rebirth is a major city and town overhaul, adds a number of new dungeons and items, and makes a lot of changes to how the game mechanics work in order to fit a particular vision of balance.

If you want a first playthrough that just happens to look really bloody good then MGSO 3.0 is for you, it changes nothing of the mechanics unless you ask it to during the Code Patch installation. Other than vanity mods it really just fixes bugs, any change in the engine is left up to you with explanations of what each change does should you apply it.

So is S.T.E.P.

MGSO can be updated with minimal effort. Round and round we go.

Well if you want headaches then get it.

Facepalm...

MGSO only needs four or five patches. link

IMHO it's more of a headache to download / install a hundred + mods and hope you didn't make a mistake along the way.
