"Morrowind Patch Project 1.6.6
That one does more harm than good. I've checked it out once I found out about a new version being released and was not pleased. For example, it changes the Ring of the Wind from 30 agility to 30 speed"
Took one search to find it. ( https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Morrowind+Patch+Project+ring+of+wind&t=ffab&ia=web )

I haven't discovered any problems using it and I have tested over 600 mods while still using the Patch for Purists.
Hope this helps.
I didn't use mods either until recently. But after playing the game since it first came out and having put probably 2,000+ hours into it, I have found mods to be very refreshing. I was a hold out for a long time. My boys both used mods long before I gave them a try.
Now that I have tried mods, I wouldn't go back to playing the vanilla game. Even if it is just updating the graphics and fixing bugs. That actually makes a lot of difference.
And with the amount of mods that there are, there is so much new content that I can keep playing this game for another 2,000+ hours. :)
