The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Audio breakage issues
I just picked up the game today, and for some reason, it starts doing this wierd thing where the audio starts to cackle in the background. It usually starts out small and barely noticable, and then it evolves into earrape within a few minutes. It seems to happen whenever I open the menu, or after about 30 minutes of playing. Closing the game and restarting it seems to fix it, but it just keeps happening. Anyone know a solution?

Update sound drivers. Update graphic drivers.

I download the code patch, but the problem hasn't gone away. Any insight?
Does this happen with other applications constantly playing sound?

Well, if you know what cards you have you can go to their websites and get the most recent drivers. I dont know what you have so I cant tell you.

What is your sound card what is your video card?

And yea, does it only happen with morrowind?

No, this is the first time it's ever happened. I have a very powerful computer. It only happens with Morrowind.
